Dan Hennigan sees something SPECIAL in Cam Smith, and a recent reunion at Wake Forest might help unlock it. 👀

TIME TO BRING BACK OLD FAITHFUL
David Vassegh said that players around MLB were texting him during Game 2 because they believed the Brewers had Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s pitches
Vassegh specifically pointed to at-bats from Jake Bauers and Brice Turang. Bauers fouled off six consecutive pitches during a 12-pitch walk before Yamamoto’s night ended after only 2⅔ innings

Hey but at least the owner spent time and effort to bitch about the Oiler blue color
Apparently the biggest win for the Titans in a decade
Everything that has happened to the Titans since trading AJ Brown:
*Titans have the worst record in the NFL at 19-54 since
*Eventually led to firing of Mike Vrabel
* Record since firing Mike Vrabel is 6-33 (have won 2 home games + 1 division game total in 3 seasons)
*AJ Brown won a Super Bowl and Mike Vrabel made a Super Bowl
*AJ Brown had more Super Bowl appearances with the Eagles than Treylon Burks had receiving touchdowns with the Titans
*Have scored 17.2 Points per game since the trade, the worst in the NFL.
*Let Derrick Henry walk without trying to re-sign him
*Derrick Henry has 732 more rushing yards and 22 more rushing touchdowns than the entire Titans RB room combined since leaving
*Traded Malik Willis to the Packers for a 7th rounder only for him to beat us 27 days later as the starting QB by 16 points
*Traded the leader of our defense, Kevin Byard (to the Eagles, of course) for two 2024 draft picks + player…none of those players are still on the Titans two seasons later.
*Lost Mike Keith - the voice of the Titans for 27 years and one of the best in the entire industry - to the University of Tennessee
*Lost Lance Smith - their longtime on field game-day host and hype man
*Have never replaced Lance Smith and the game day production is one of the worst in professional sports
*Lowest attendance numbers since Nissan Stadium opened in 1999.
*Dropped the Greek mythology bit from the Titans branding so no one knows what the Titans even mean anymore
Every decision made is the wrong one and if you do that long enough and you get Hell on Earth.
After years on Sports Twitter I’m convinced that a player could fully do a backbreaker on another player and there would be arguments in the comments on both sides
Engagement bait, bots, and just plain idiots abound
I don’t hate this. What’s the catch?
MLB spokesman Glen Caplin: “Returning to a 154-game schedule would allow us to introduce a weekly off day, which is good for player health, while also creating a new national broadcast window to showcase our most exciting teams and players. A shorter regular season unlocks making October even better for our fans—with fewer weekday afternoon games, a longer Division Series, and more opportunities to see the game’s best pitchers on the biggest stage. And allowing the top seeds to select their opponents in the first two rounds would create compelling storylines, intensify existing rivalries and create new ones.”

Hello.
My company laid off everyone in my division two months ago and I am still looking for a job.
I've been in sales for 7+ years, most recently as a Director of Partnerships.
I'm open to anything that allows me be creative and build relationships.
Are any of you hiring?
(What if the Padres know Mason is down tonight anyways after throwing so many pitches 2 days ago, so he’s doing them a favor getting them an extra arm for tonight. Then he’ll come off the list for the next game if they get there)
All this talk about CJ and Nick Caley’s Offense, but the Texans Defense, specifically the secondary, has regressed
Last Regular Season the Texans defense allow 20+ points 6 times all year
This season they’ve already given up 20+ 3 out of 4 weeks, and 19 in the other week

Astros fans expressed their frustrations, but @Chandler_Rome doesn't think it was directed at the players...
"I think it was a little more of a reaction to the totality of what's happened over the last year and a half."
Still one of the dumbest rules in the game
