Core is taking another step towards decentralization.
Since 2023, DAO-operated validators have helped keep blocks flowing as independent operators joined and strengthened the network. Together, these validators have supported years of uninterrupted block production.
Over the coming months, the DAO will fulfill its long-term plan and begin the process of gradually handing over its remaining block-production role to independent validators, building on the work these operators already do to keep Core running.
This transition marks a new chapter for Core, with independent operators powering the network.
Thank you to every validator and Coretoshi who has helped move Core forward.

Stake CORE, secure Core, get paid in CORE.
CORE holders delegate to validators. Their stake elects the validators that produce blocks. Every block pays out newly minted CORE.
Rewards land daily. Delegations can be moved anytime.

Every day, CORE and BTC holders stake to secure Core.
Having multiple staked assets serves to decentralize consensus and harden the network.

Speedy rails. Low fees.
CORE and BTC payments, lending, collateral, yield.
Faster, cheaper, better on Core.

Three inputs secure Core:
→ Bitcoin miners delegate hash power from the blocks they already mine.
→ Bitcoin holders stake BTC without giving up custody.
→ CORE holders stake CORE.

Trustless. Self-custodied. Multiplied.
Dual Staking Bitcoin and CORE earns higher rewards while contributing to the security of the Core network.

Ever heard about the recent issue on Core?
Here’s what actually happened, what Core did about it, and why your funds are safe.
I broke it down in few mins. 👇

The v1.0.26 hardfork is now live on Core mainnet and the reward issuance issue is resolved.
The upgrade closed the vulnerability and burned 150M+ CORE of excess issuance, removing it from supply permanently. No transactions were rolled back and no user funds were lost. We expect staking rewards to return to normal within 48 hours. A full post-mortem will follow.

Coretoshis! This is the new status update on the recent issue.
Assets are safe and a forward upgrade to permanently fix the issue is on the way.
Full post-mortem deport to follow. 🔶

Mitigation procedures were applied immediately, malicious validators can no longer draw excess rewards!
Next step is the emergency hardfork to permanently fix the issue identified.
For those who do not understand what happened, don’t worry in general assets remain safe and a full discussion via post mortem report will follow so that you can fully understand what transpired and what has been done to fix the issue.

Update: the issue is contained and the malicious validators can no longer draw excess rewards.
We're now coordinating an emergency hardfork with validators to deploy the permanent fix. This is a forward upgrade, not a rollback.
Assets remain safe. Full post-mortem to follow.
Core Network — Status Update
We're aware of an issue causing a small number of validators to accrue block rewards above the protocol's intended issuance.
The root cause is identified and mitigations are in progress. User assets are safe. This affects reward issuance only, not the network's security or the custody of any funds.
Full post-mortem to follow once contained.

Bitcoin is the asset. Core is where it goes to work.
Payments, lending, collateral, yield. Builders plug into the Bitcoin Power Grid and ship products with real users.

There will only ever be 2.1 billion CORE tokens.
Core steps its block reward down every year instead of halving it
@Coredao_Org caps coredaoorg:native at 2.1 billion tokens, a figure its documentation describes as exactly 100 times Bitcoin's 21 million.
New supply enters through block rewards, the tokens paid to the validators producing each block, spread across an 81-year schedule per Core's whitepaper.
Rather than cutting the reward in half every four years the way Bitcoin does, Core steps its emission rate down at every 10,512,000th block. At the network's roughly three-second block time, that lands about once a year.
Each step is far smaller than a Bitcoin halving but is more frequent, with the schedule running until the full 2.1 billion cap is distributed.
TVL on Core Blockchain is positive on the day
Core Dao's (@Coredao_Org) Total Value Locked is up nearly 10% in the last 24 hours.
According to Defillma, the chain's TVL has grown by 7.37%, driven by several DeFi platforms, including b14g.
The restaking platform, @b14g_network, has recorded over $4M in TVL, dominating the Core blockchain ecosystem. The second platform with the highest TVL is SatoshiCore Swap, and @colend_xyz.
CORE has made a remarkable comeback
Despite being down nearly 95% in the past year, @Coredao_Org's native $CORE asset has witnessed a significant comeback...
For context, CORE has jumped over 40% in the past 40 days. In two weeks, the asset rose 30%.
It is safe to say that CORE was one of the biggest gainers in the recent crypto rally.
