Our guy 🔥🔥🔥
28’ Trent O’Malley | @Aplus_baseball | #uncommitted
Trent’s ability to hit the gap on the opposite side relies on timing and having rhythm with his legs. Landing with his backside creates the stretch and separation (walking away from his hands), which helps him keep his head behind the ball. When he fires his hips, his hands are positioned above the baseball, achieving a palm-up/palm-down contact point. He stays in the zone on plane as long as possible, finishing connected with balance. @80prospect . @Ole_Liners . @80scale_

Great workout for @_jacobwright2 , focusing on his hand path by controlling his posture. This helps keep his hands short to the ball and stay in the zone as long as possible, creating backspin on plane. @CoachG_MD

Vance Honeycutt | @Orioles . @BaysoxOfficial
@HoneycuttVance is working on driving outside pitches to the other side by hitting the ball from a different angle, helping him to stay inside the baseball.
The key 🔑 is timing it with his lower half to create hands separation and then bringing his (whipping) hands tight and down to the ball to create a short / direct swing. This approach helps the barrel stay through zone for as long as possible on plane, allowing him to create backspin and drive the ball effectively to the opposite field. @80scale_ . @OsPlayerDev

The 6’0", 175 lbs is one of the top shortstop prospects for the Class of 2027. His ability to use his lower half to create explosive hand speed is very impressive, plus his 6.5-second 60-yard dash highlights his notable athleticism.
The 2024 first-round pick of the @Orioles and former @DiamondHeels athlete, @HoneycuttVance , is grinding at the @80scale_ indoor facility.
