Don’t preach about men in women’s sports while making excuses for men in children’s bedrooms. Don’t preach about homosexuality and abortion while defending an adjudicated rapist and unrepentant racist. You lose all credibility when you turn a blind eye to sexual abuse, dishonesty, cruelty, and corruption because the person committing it carries your preferred political banner.
You cannot turn morality into a weapon against the people you condemn and then turn grace into a shield for the politician you support.
If your convictions disappear when they become politically inconvenient, they were never convictions in the first place, they were just talking points.
