Is there an industry term for styles *inspired by* HD-2D? Since... y'know, only one company gets to use that term? 🙄

I'm nine months deep into my game development arc. I've gotten at least *some* code done every day during that time. Learning a lot, but there's a ton of ground to cover as a solo indie 😱

The #GodotEngine community is top notch. I keep getting saved because somebody took the time to scribble their thoughts into the comments on some obscure PR/issue... It's happened so many times now, I've lost count

The worst thing about being good at #MtG is the amount of time I waste trying to properly sequence mundane activities

I really enjoyed chatting about RTS news on stream last Friday. I'm thinking I may bring that back as a semi-regular livestream segment, potentially with rotating guests :) Thinking of calling it The Observatory!

Ultimately, I think there are a few approaches: - The "melee" route, where you let the player still feel like they're doing stuff, but a high level player can get significantly more out of a character - The "automatic/manual" route, where you automate stuff, but suboptimally

It sounds like they're opting for the latter, perhaps because in the RTS genre, it's almost a prerequisite to get to the goal of "player feels like they can do stuff" Maybe the two routes aren't different at all, but just emerge from the genres they're in?

Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by our streamer's roundtable on the Stormgate news! It was wonderful to see so many old friends :D

The way @Frost_Giant has brought the community into the fold already is so awesome :) The amount of traffic on RTS twitter right now gives me the sickest nerd chills

Been playing a little bit off stream and I'm surprised how much more I feel I'm learning without having to split my brain in half and think about putting on a show. It hurts to miss out on the stream time but I think I need the focus right now to get better
