Well, Tokyo didn't end the way we wanted it to, coming up short in the final to a phenomenal GB team. Hats off to them on a historic gold medal.

IMO the other aspect I'm not seeing discussed as much is the following weeks-Rams should, in theory, have less hangover coming home, while 49ers will need days to adjust back.

49ers going to Australia a week early vs. the Rams going 24 hours before kickoff
Mind you this is a 17 hour flight
The theory for the Rams player’s bodies won’t have enough time for the jet lag and time zones to kick in and impact them. They’re gonna land play the game within 24 hours and likely leave shortly thereafter.
Minimizing the impact of the travel on their circadian rhythms
The 49ers are taking the opposite approach. They’re going a week early to allow their bodies to get acclimated and to properly hydrated, which seems to take about three days.
It will be interesting to see which approach ends up being the most effective.
