"No promises....ha ha. .... Thanks."
“Been there.” Dan shared the laugh, giving a small nod. “Try not to think too hard on it. Whatever you decide to do, it should be what’s best for /you/ too.”

"I didn't have a choice in that, I was kidnapped." Despite his laugh, he was quite serious. "I'll um....think about it, I guess."
“Eric, they wouldn’t do so much for you if they didn’t /want/ to. You know that, you’ve met them.” Dan chuckled, shaking his head. “It wouldn’t hurt to at least /ask/, y’know?”

"O-oh um....I dunno. The Warfstches have already done a lot for me......I don't wanna shove any more of my problems onto 'em."
“What about Yan’s dad?” Dan suggested.

"It's not like I really /have/ anyone. That's....kind of the issue. If it was that simple, the choice would be a /lot/ easier."
“Okay, I get you.” Dan gave a nod, one hand scratching at his chin as he thought. “Well then, why not give it to someone else? Someone you can trust to take care of it?”

"No...not-not really. But I /don't/ want it to die /either/. My dad sucked, I get it, but the company does /good/ work. It /helps/ people." Hands grip the handkerchief so tight his knuckles lighten. "It shouldn't just disappear just because of /him/."
“Ah, I see. So a lot got dropped onto your plate at once.” Dan gave a nod, closing his eyes and thinking for a moment. “Do you /want/ to own the company?” He turned his gaze back to Eric. “Cuz if not, letting his company die with him sounds like what he deserves.”

"I...didn't think it would go to me. Guess I didn't think the whole 'you can kill my dad' thing through." A nervous laugh as his gaze shifts to the floor.
“I see. Were you expecting to get the company, or was it just dropped on you suddenly?” Dan raised a brow.

Eric lifts his head at that, blinking before staring silently at Dan for a few moments. "Oh well um...I just own a company now. And that's...a lot. Yan said I-I should just get rid of it but I.....I dunno."
“Been there.” Dan nodded in understanding. “Still, I’d be willing to hear ya out if you need a new perspective on things.”

"Funny enough, I already did before. But that really only made me think about it even /more/. It's just-" There's a pause, hands wringing the handkerchief. "It's a lot ta think about."
“Would it help if ya put those thoughts into words?” Dan suggested, slipping his hands into his pockets as he continued leaning on the doorframe.

A small shrug "Think hard about practically everything. It's um...pretty normal."
“Seems pretty important if you’re thinking about it that hard.” Dan tilted his head, watching Eric carefully.

"It's...fine. That's just my life...ha ha." Silence for a while, head turnig to stare at his hands. "Y-yeah. Just...thinking. not anything important."
“Sorry, didn’t mean to startle ya.” Dan apologized, leaning on the doorframe. “You sure? You seem anxious about something—more than usual, that is.”

A sharp inhale as his head turns to look over at the other. .... "O-oh um... y-yeah. I-I'm fine."
Dan’s gonna give a gentle knock on the doorframe to get his attention. “Hey. You doin alright?”

Seeing as he's not allowed to pace back and forth, he's just fidgeting with his handkerchief.

"I didn't say I was /going/ to."

.... "I /could/ walk without the crutches, you know-"

"That is /also/ what people who are fine say."
28
"I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine."

Pacing back and forth. Or well....as best he can at the moment.
