Current Ward 9 Councillor Martin Reid accepted developer donations for his 2022 campaign.
It’s legal. But when decisions shape your neighbourhood, public trust matters.
I won’t accept developer donations.
Ward 9 deserves a new standard of leadership.
Oct. 26. You decide.
One week to go. Ward 9 has a chance for incredible change. An exciting opportunity to ignite fresh ideas and innovative solutions, with a strong, experienced voice at City Hall. Monday, Oct 26, let’s set a new standard for leadership. voteanwarknight.ca

If you stop by the MacEwan Terrace, you'll see some recent plantings in the bioswale. The bioswale drains rainwater from the area and diverts it toward the MacEwan Pond, supporting habitat for the pond's wildlife. Our thanks to @Rotary of #Mississauga for supporting the project!

A rewarding close to the week! Thank You to the Meadowvale Jamatkhana for the warm invitation & wonderful hospitality. It was a pleasure to attend last night’s event & connect with members of the Ismaili community.
I’m committed to building bridges & bringing people together.
Humbled by the kindness and support of so many amazing people. Thank you.

Local businesses have an incredible impact on a community. They create jobs, provide the services we count on every day, and are often the first to support a local cause.
I want to help Ward 9’s local businesses thrive, so I spent some time asking owners: How can we support you? These are challenging times, especially with trade uncertainty and tariffs.
As a small business owner myself for many years, and a member of the Meadowvale Business Association, I understand those pressures. I have many ideas and innovative strategies to help elevate local business. As Ward 9 Councillor, I’ll explore every option possible to support them.

I’m grateful for the kind words, but even more grateful for the trust behind them.
I’ve spent my career believing in hard work, asking the tough questions and standing up for what matters.
I’m bringing that same commitment to my campaign for Ward 9.
Action You Can See. Results You Can Trust.

The City of Mississauga says volunteer rink-keepers are being sought to help maintain the outdoor recreation spots. Those interested must apply by Nov. 15.
Volunteers for the city’s Natural Ice Rinks Program must be 14 years of age or older and comfortable working outdoors in cold temperatures, likely in the late evening any day of the week, after darkness.
A Canadian tradition will soon be revived at dozens of Mississauga parks insauga.com/a-canadian-tradi…

The Mayor has said it out loud: the data centre file was badly handled.
On Oct 6, Mayor Parrish told Sauga 960 AM:
"No questions at council is wrong."
"It wasn't well handled."
And the town hall? "Chaos."
Who moved it forward without asking a single question?
Who hosted the town hall?
The current Ward 9 councillor.
Is this the leadership you want for four more years?
October 26, vote for change. Let's set a new standard of accountability together. Join me: voteanwarknight.ca

Ward 9, a must-watch. The data centre failures at City Hall, and why they matter to you.
I was the only candidate to uncover them, using public records.
On March 30, the current Ward 9 councillor moved the data centre forward. The official minutes: "No discussion took place."
He enthusiastically supported it. He didn't ask a single question. ZERO.
The interim by-law passed in September is a pause, NOT a stop.
Residents deserved better. They deserve a councillor who protects them, not one who has to be pushed.
Do you want four more years of second-guessing, petitions, and neighbours organizing just to be heard?
Send a strong message. Vote for change, accountability and transparency on October 26.
Join me. Let's bring positive change and set a new standard for leadership.

Huge endorsement from a councillor who himself communicated, listened to residents and made many changes still enjoyed in Mississauga to this day. Speaks volumes from a legend.

Securing an endorsement from Mississauga pioneer David Culham speaks volumes. Anwar Knight represents the steady, principled leadership and public service dedication needed for Ward 9.
When the man who helped build Mississauga puts his support behind you, it means something. I'm proud to be endorsed by David Culham, a true visionary.
A member of Mississauga's first City Council in 1974, David helped steer the city's massive urban transformation. He pioneered a policy requiring developers to dedicate valley lands to the city and championed Mississauga's first Blue Box recycling program. If you've ever walked or biked along the Credit River, you've enjoyed his legacy. The David J. Culham Trail is named in his honour. Officials still seek his insight today.
David took a stand, and residents are still benefiting decades later. That's the kind of leadership I'm committed to bringing to council: putting residents first and having the courage to take a stand.
It also means innovative thinking: scrutinizing every dollar spent and holding every decision to one standard. How will it benefit residents?
Thank you, Mr. Culham
You have a choice, Ward 9. Vote October 26.

Thank you, @NormMurrayTV for having me on “The Norm” on Sauga 960 AM.
We had a great conversation about some of the big issues facing Ward 9, including the proposed data centre to how City Hall is spending residents’ tax dollars.
These are important decisions that will shape the future of our community. Residents should rightly expect more from their elected leadership, more questions, more transparency, more accountability and, most importantly, a stronger voice at City Hall.

Thank you. I am so grateful for his support. Mr. Culham is truly one of a kind, his leadership, his vision and commitment to making things happen is unmatched. To this very day, he is relied upon for his expert guidance and advice. The environment is another area where we share a common passion. Protecting our green spaces and leaving a healthier planet for the next generation have long been important parts of my own environmental advocacy, including through my Big Blue Marble podcast.
Momentum is building. Change is happening. Let's do this!
This Thanksgiving weekend, I'm truly thankful for every one of you. Every conversation at the door, every sign on a lawn, every kind word and share has meant more than you know.
Now I'm asking you to help take this to the finish line.
Let's get the Ward 9 Community Action Hub launched, where you lead and I work with you. Let's scrutinize every penny spent and every development proposal. Let's do things differently.
Every decision held to one standard: how does it benefit residents?
That's how I'll lead, and together we can make it happen.
Advance polls are open today and tomorrow. Don't wait for Election Day on October 26. Vote early and make it count.
Let's make change that gives you a seat at the table and champions your voice from day one. This is the time.
