The government is soft on terror. Today’s reported arrest in Melbourne of a Somali-born alleged ISIS extremist is confirmation that radical Islamic terror is festering in Australia.
After the worst terrorist attack on Australian soil last year, the government is still downplaying the threat of radical Islam.
This alleged terrorist is accused of being a member of ISIS and providing instructions to others on how to plan and carry out mass casualty terrorist attacks.
The country has watched as Tony Burke has allowed alleged ISIS members back into Australia while secretly facilitating the return of more alleged ISIS fighters.
The Prime Minister refused to call the threat what it is: radical Islamic terrorism.
Australia’s national terrorism threat level remains ‘probable’, meaning there is a greater than 50 per cent chance of an onshore terrorist attack or attack planning within the next 12 months.
First the Albanese government refused to name radical Islamic terrorism in the days after Bondi. Then they were dragged kicking and screaming into calling a Royal Commission. But they made sure it wouldn’t properly examine radical Islamic terrorism.
Labor is still refusing to release the Bondi video manifesto because they are too scared of being honest with Australians about the threat of radical Islamic terror.
The Prime Minister is too busy jetting overseas to receive a ‘Global Citizen’ award, while the Home Affairs Minister is missing in action and didn’t even front the press conference today to answer questions.
National security starts with being upfront with the Australian people. The Home Affairs Minister needs to front the Australian public and start telling them the truth.

Canada resident breaks down in tears because he life may be over, “I'm about to be a victim of the Canadian healthcare system”
She has cancer. She did everything she was asked to including Chemo, additional tests and seeing the multiple specialists required for surgery. Unfortunately because the way healthcare works in Canada, the process took so long that her tumor has now spread and she’s no longer a candidate for surgery
“ These past five weeks of having to go through the system, waiting for appointments, waiting for diagnostic imaging, waiting for results and reports, my tumor has spread way too far — They let me sit there for two months with no treatment — this is the system that we live in”
What’s crazy is I found this is not uncommon in Canada, and can actually even take much longer than this
On the faster end for high priority major cancer it takes 6–12 weeks from the “we think we can operate” meeting to the OR, plus 4–8 weeks of extra tests beforehand

Slower provinces can take 6–12 months or more. Quebec’s public lists show thousands waiting for obstetric, gynecologic surgery. The lists show hundreds of people already past 6–12 months mark in waiting

You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement.
I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible.
But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier.
Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want.
Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well.
So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it.
If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

Instant Replay for Omarchy, i kinda got sick of using OBS buffers to capture gameplay moments as a crutch for shadowplay so i made this plugin hope the Omarchy gamers enjoy it :)
my favorite part of this project was getting the recording to follow the focused window and keep only the focused window's audio recorded ( yes it works for OSRS with its audio source that doesn't match it's name ).
I just submitted it for review but if your keen would love some feedback!
fyi the save out has very low CPU / IO priority so even if you have big encoding requirements it shouldn't stutter any gameplay

Why are NDIS businesses appearing on seemingly every corner in one Sydney suburb?
I went to Lakemba to investigate.
We found an NDIS business alongside a visa centre and legal services. Another was supposedly open, but we couldn’t even find it operating.
Why isn’t the NDIS fraud taskforce investigating red flags like these?
i wanted to help improve the UX of Omarchy and the keyboard navigation of the menu's.
it's subtle but it's so nice to retain your search query in a menu and when you go "left" it keeps the same index instead of going back to the top.

Ukraine has awarded Elon Musk the Order of Freedom
According to the decree published on the website of the President of Ukraine, Musk was awarded “for outstanding personal merits in protecting human lives and freedom, and developing relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States of America.”
The Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine that can be awarded to non-Ukrainian citizens.
