Apollo iOS 1.1.0 is out! 1.1.0 focuses on providing the ability to initialize the generated models manually. This makes it easier to write manual data to the cache; use models in unit tests; and create UI fixtures (loading states and Swift UI previews). github.com/apollographql/apo…

Very excited for this! GraphQL Summit will be my first time speaking at a tech conference. If you are a mobile developer working with GraphQL, I'm sure you've encountered the issue I'll be tackling.
What do you do when the schema you depend on changes after your app has been distributed? This #GraphQLSummit session will explore how schema changes affect mobile developers and how to best mitigate the issues they pose. Register now: 👉 bit.ly/3TtHrUZ

"Anything not released in the tearDown will continue to exist, even while other tests run." iOS Developers need to be aware of this. XCTest should really have better documentation around this in the first place. qualitycoding.org/xctestcase…

@khanlou I've been reading everything I can find on the Coordinator Pattern. I'm wondering if it would make sense to have child coordinators retained by their view controllers instead of the parent coordinator. Do you think this is possible, or does it cause other issues?

The parent coordinators would create and start child coordinators, but then forget about them. This could fix the issue with UINavigationController back button and having to release/clean up child coordinators. Would love to hear if you think this is viable or a terrible idea.

Of course this seems like it could lead to retain cycles, but I don't think it has to. When a VC need to ask the coordinator to do something, it could pass itself as a parameter, just like any other delegate.
