In addition to all the great contributions swirling about, here is something that I have not seen much discussion on: Wildfires in cities: An operational gray zone linkedin.com/pulse/wildfires… It’s the jurisdiction of urban fire departments – but we rely on wildland firefighters to get the job done. While we don’t expect a smokejumper to run into a burning building, we do expect urban fire departments to effectively tackle the most complex and extreme wildfires. #wildfires #firefighters #LosAngelesFires
