Friends, there is a common view of God as the supreme being among many beings—as the biggest and greatest of all beings.
But this is a false understanding of God, who is, as Aquinas says, “ipsum esse subsistens”—the sheer act of “to be” itself. In other words, he is the creative ground from which all finite reality comes. God is not a being in the world like the ancient mythological gods and goddesses but the creative source of all that is.

West Melbourne Store Owner Rearrested on Murder Charge After 14-Year-Old Dies
Kavan Vishnubhai Patel, 32, owner of the Corner Store on South Wickham Road, was taken into custody again Sunday morning and charged with second-degree murder. The charge followed the death of 14-year-old Hunter Russey, who police say was intentionally struck by Patel’s vehicle early the previous Tuesday.
Russey had remained on life support at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children after first being treated at Holmes Regional Medical Center. On the evening of October 17, his family chose to remove him from support. He died at 11:46 p.m. The family later decided to donate his organs.
The incident began around 4:30 a.m. on October 13. An alarm at the store alerted Patel to a smashed front glass door. Surveillance showed someone leaving on an e-bike. Investigators say Patel followed the rider in his vehicle and deliberately struck him on Cocoanut Grove Avenue, well after the person had left the store area. Patel then returned to the shop. He did not tell officers who responded to the break-in that he had hit anyone.
Russey was found unresponsive in a roadside ditch nearly an hour later. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Patel was initially charged with aggravated battery and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury. After Russey’s death, detectives obtained a new warrant. Patel was rearrested shortly after 10 a.m. on October 18 and is being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
Police say they will continue investigating for prosecutors. The family has asked for privacy.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I am from a city called Jerash, today it is insignificant, a forgotten, decaying place.
But once, it was great. It was Jarasa, a thriving city of the Greco-Roman world, a beacon of culture, knowledge, and civilization.
Then, Islam arrived.
My ancestors were forced to convert, their heritage erased, and their land stripped of its brilliance.
What was once a center of civilization became a ruin, another casualty of Islam’s relentless march.
This wasn’t just Jerash. It was Lebanon. It was Syria. It was Iraq. It was Egypt. These lands weren’t always the Islamic backwaters they are today.
They were hubs of knowledge, trade, philosophy, and empire.
Then Islam came.
It deformed them, crushed their identities, and plunged them into centuries of regression.
Egypt, the land of the Pharaohs, of towering pyramids, of an empire that shaped history, was swallowed by an ideology that replaced its greatness with religious stagnation.
Islam was the greatest colonial project in history.
It expanded by force, erasing entire civilizations and replacing them with submission to an Arab warlord from the 7th century.
And yet, the stupid Western left, the so-called defenders of “decolonization,” bend over backward to give Islam a pass.
They scream about colonialism when it comes to the West but ignore the Islamic colonization of entire peoples, cultures, and lands.
They want to hand the West over to the very force that already destroyed the East.

Wow, did y'all know Iowa's entire state IT is run by an Indian company that is notorious for only hiring Indians (illegally) in the US? Iowa doesn't have any American IT professionals?
COGNIZANT IS PUTTING GOOGLE AI AGENTS INSIDE ITS CLIENTS' SYSTEMS
Here is why that should worry anyone whose data sits on a Cognizant-run network.
Start with the track record. In August 2023, hackers called the help desk Clorox had outsourced to Cognizant and asked for employee passwords. They got them. No identity verification, according to Clorox's $380M lawsuit against Cognizant. The attack knocked out Clorox's ordering systems and caused nationwide product shortages. Cognizant disputes the claims. In 2020, Cognizant's own network was hit by Maze ransomware, which the company said cost it $50 to $70 million.
That is the company now selling AI agents deployed into client job roles in weeks instead of quarters. Cognizant's own press release says these agents automate 60 to 70% of manual effort. Every agent needs standing access to the systems it works in. More standing access means a bigger blast radius when access control fails. Access control is exactly what Clorox says failed.
Now add jurisdiction. Cognizant has 357,600 employees and over 250,000 of them are in India, roughly 70% of the company. Federal data rules like CJIS and IRS Pub 1075 restrict offshore access to criminal-justice and taxpayer data. Cognizant now runs the State of Iowa's entire IT operation. No one has shown the public whether those offshore-access rules are enforced, or whether Gemini tools will touch state systems.
Two dates tell the story. April 29: Cognizant sets aside $270M for severance under Project Leap, with analysts modeling 7,000 to 15,000 job cuts. July 7: Cognizant announces Gemini for up to 200,000 of its own employees.
Your data is now on these networks whether you picked Cognizant or not.

I’m dead serious. Watch the replies to that post in this one and you will see people actively defending the government using property tax to confiscate homes.
Fix up the outside of your house? They raise your property tax.
Is it raining and Tuesday?
They’ll raise your property tax.
They can kick you out of a home that you pretend you own.
It’s an absolutely insane system for a government that is utterly and totally dependent on taking more of your money and using it badly.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

The doctors at the center of America’s first federal FGM prosecution have opened a clinic together in Detroit where they offer school physicals for children and accept seven different taxpayer funded insurance providers.
Dr. Jumana Nargawala and Dr. Fakhruddin Attar were accused of working together to mutilate the genitals of young girls in Michigan. Dr. Nargwala was the one who actually performed the procedures, while Dr. Attar provided her the space in which to operate.
The procedure Dr. Nargwala was accused of performing upon nine little girls involved the amputation of the clitoris and inner labia, followed by the removal of the flesh along the inside of the outer labia. Dr. Nargwala then allegedly sewed these little girls shut, leaving a hole the size of a matchstick for urination and menstruation. The indictment accused Dr. Attar of opening his clinic after hours so that Dr. Nargwala could mutilate the victims, and both physicians were accused of telling victims and their families not to discuss the mutilations.
The case against both doctors was dismissed in 2018 after the judge ruled that the federal FGM statute was “unconstitutional.” Neither physician was ever charged in state courts, and Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs chose not to pursue disciplinary action. Both doctors have since been allowed to renew their medical licenses. Neither doctor has ever had their medical license revoked or restricted in any way.

WSJ: A Princeton PhD in chemical engineering applied to 2,300 jobs, ranging from postdoctoral fellowships to corporate science jobs and software engineering positions. He still hasn’t found a job. 34% of Americans surveyed by Gallup in August said it was a good time to find a quality job.
Meanwhile, Congress is fixated on finding a way to pass a bill that staples green cards to any international student who earns a PhD in the United States.
We should start by asking why our own graduates can’t find jobs before importing more workers.
