I’ll take things that never happened for $5000, Alex.
Greta Gerwig on preparing to write Narnia: The Magician's Nephew:
"I read or re-read everything Lewis wrote. Then I tried to read everything he read."
She also retraced C.S. Lewis's life and steps in Belfast, Cambridge, and Oxford, hoping to better understand the author so that "my instincts would align with his”.

If God is a loving God, why would He create some people knowing that they'll go to hell?

I sat my 7-year-old down and explained to him that dying industries (legacy media, academia, DNC politics) ride algorithmically driven cultural hysterias both because it’s the only way they can stay relevant and because their business models demand it.
He looked up at me and with a tear in his eyes asked, ‘so, for the sake of the journos, the assistant professors, and Dem Politics Inc, we’re obligated to attest to the moral urgency of the hysteria and act completely emotionally dysregulated?’
‘Yes,’ I answered him. ‘Yes, that’s right.’
And then we both sat quietly.
II Kings 19, when Yahweh takes credit for the conquests of Sennacherib.
“From days of old I formed it. Now I have brought it to pass.”
I wonder if there was any sin and evil involved when Assyria “devastate[d] fortified cities into ruinous heaps…”

Jews: Jesus didnt do all the things the Messiah is prophecied to do. Therefore he isnt the Messiah.
Me: That's because those things occur after He returns. 2 phases. Suffering servant, then King.
Covenant theology: Jesus didnt literally do all the things He was prophecied to do. Therefore we need to allegorize all those things.
Me: That's because those things occur after He returns. 2 phases. Suffering servant, then King.
Both groups totally miss the importance of the return of Christ. They believe all prophecy regarding the person and work of Messiah needed to accomplished at His first coming.
The Messianic kingdom is future.

Paul refers to Gentile believers as descendants of Abraham. But he never refers to Gentile believers as descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That phrase is reserved for Israelites alone.
Understanding this will unlock the proper fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant.
Literally no Christian of any theological persuasion KNOWS that they are saved.
Assurance is not certainty.
KNOWING would mean you would no longer need to walk by faith.
No Christian knows for absolute certain that they are saved until they get there. Stop playing dumb games.

"It's not your job to change men's hearts. That's the work of God. Your job is to proclaim the truth."
There is no amount of intellectual maneuvering that will force someone to become saved.
Only God can overcome man's depravity and change his heart condition.
Our job is to be the messengers.
Let the haters cry and seethe about history and what the church fathers did or didn’t believe.
Stick with Christ and the Word. Pay as much attention to the traditions of the elders as Jesus did.
Calvinist in the soteriology, dispensational in the eschatology.
Pick the theologies that come straight out of a plain reading of scripture and will get you called all manner of slanderous names by people claiming to be Christian.
That’s how you know you’re on the right track.
When Satan quoted scripture to Christ, was he misrepresenting it?
Replying to @Soteriology101 @DineshDSouza
You can quote Calvinists all day and still be accused of misrepresenting Calvinism.
