My wife is scared of nuclear war movies but knows they're my favorite movie genre. She has offered to endure nuclear fest 2026 with me this weekend and I've got the ultimate movie lineup. 1. The Day After 2. Threads 3. By Dawn's Early Light 4. Miracle Mile 5. Testament 6. When the Wind Blows I feel like a kid on Christmas. I usually have to watch these alone.

did a defense contractor just sell me a Nintendo 64? palmer luckey sold oculus to facebook for $2 billion at 21. now runs anduril, a $61 billion autonomous weapons company. and this weekend I find him on youtube, 30 minutes deep, explaining an N64 clone he engineered to last for centuries. gold-plated every connector. removed every component that can physically degrade. built the first bluetooth 6.2 device on earth to get wireless latency down to 0.375ms. then open sourced the entire thing. "i wish that all hardware was designed this way, but i unfortunately only designed the hardware that i saw."

Just experienced my first air raid in Ukraine. Sirens blaring. This is everyday for every Ukrainian. I feel like such an asshole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say. There are people in Ukraine who have to run to a bomb shelter everyday and some of us had the audacity to say Russia wasn’t wrong because we believed the lie that Ukraine is a country full of Nazi sympathizers. We have been so propagandized by Russia and we don’t even realize it. Air sirens could very well be the future of America if we don’t start demanding our lawmakers crack down on communism and multipolarity. We won’t have Trump forever and the axis of evil is moving fast.
