Urban screen activation as part of HKWALLS Festival 2026 (March 20β29, Hong Kong). A transient structure emerges within the city's visual field stabilizing briefly before dissolving back into signal. Across the TSTC screens, the system unfolds as a temporary portal-like field embedded into the urban environment. The structure does not remain. It appears, stabilizes, and dissolves.
During the activation period, a stable video recording of the signal is being captured preserving the moment of its presence within the city before the portal closes.

MEMORY CELL / MC_003
With this Cell, I can feel especially clearly how a form can move further and further away from its source while still remaining connected to it.
MC_003 already feels completely different in my hands.
It has different proportions, a different inner space, a different rhythm.
It still comes from the same originating form, but now it feels like a state of its own.
Iβm interested in this moment when the kinship is still there, but the difference begins to speak louder than the resemblance.
βͺοΈWe return to the same past, but never as the same person.
βͺοΈMemory Cells - different states of the same origin.

Iβm interested in the moment when a form remains connected to its source while no longer fully coinciding with itself.
The physical prototype of this mirror fits in the hands. In the digital scenes, the same form appears at another scale and within the space of Planet An. Each version records one possible way of encountering the object.
What changes from one state to another is not only size. The mode of encounter changes as well: distance, proportion, reflection, and the surrounding space begin to operate differently.
What returns is no longer identical to itself, yet remains recognizably connected to its origin.

MEMORY CELL / MC_002
is the second stabilized physical reconstruction of Recall Sequence 01.
Each Memory Cell is the same originating form remembering itself differently.
The originating structure remains recognizable, but its reconstruction has shifted considerably.
MC_002 develops a denser surface, a more complex color field and a changed internal configuration, allowing the shared source to return in a distinctly different material state.

New tarot card drops tomorrow and for those who don't know, this will be a physical deck once the collection is complete.
MEMORY CELL / MC_002
What appears as a finished form is never the whole process.
By the time a work becomes available to the eye, it already contains several prior states some still visible, others absorbed into the surface, others remaining only in documents, images, or memory.
I keep thinking about how little of a form can ever be encountered at once.
What we see is not the entire sequence.
Only its present state.
Not the beginning.
Not every transition.
Not everything that has already disappeared beneath what came later.
And still, something remains recognizable.
That boundary continues to interest me most: how much can a form change while remaining connected to its origin?
MC_002 exists here as one of those returns.
βͺοΈWe return to the same past, but never as the same person.

Back to Portal 002 today.
Revisiting some details that never felt completely resolved.
Sometimes a form exists for a while before you understand what it still needs.
A few small interventions today. Letβs see where they take it.
MEMORY CELL / MC_002
The more technological my process becomes, the less I want the surface to feel detached from its own history.
I used to look for a kind of control that would erase the signs of how a form came into being.
Now Iβm drawn to the opposite.
Iβm interested in the surface as a place where the form keeps the memory of its becoming.
What returns from the digital space into matter is never only the form itself.
It returns with shifts, resistance, traces, and small deviations that begin to belong to it.
Nothing arrives untouched.
And maybe that is why the surface matters so much to me now.
It does not only show the object.
It holds the record of its passage.
