I need help! My son Griffin Wallace Higgs was diagnosed with cancer at 18. He died in Nov 2025. He was 28. In addition to arranging his funeral, closing his bank accounts, transferring his assets, cancelling his cell phone and myriad other tasks no parent should have to think about I have been trying to deal with @Ticketmaster to get the @foofighters tickets he purchased months ago. I have the order number for the 4 tickets he purchased. I have a letter from a lawyer saying I’m his next of kin. Ticketmaster refuses to access the tickets. They are essentially stealing from his estate. If the bank withheld his account and money it would be fraud. @Ticketmaster told me to get a lawyer. This cannot be the process. This cannot be just. Someone please help. All that remains now is for his brothers to enjoy this concert at @Rogers_Stadium leaving his seat empty in his honour. Someone? Anyone? Tonight I attended a protest outside the proposed ICE detention center in SLC. What I saw is completely unacceptable. The arrests that were made were unnecessary and overly physical, and I’m disturbed that @slcpd is acting as security for this facility. My role as an elected official seemingly kept law enforcement at a distance, and they acted completely inappropriately when they thought they could get away with it. We need to abolish ICE, keep this facility from ever opening, and protect the American right to protest without being unjustly targeted for exercising the First Amendment.

The flags were at half staff around the country, and the president was trying to call us in Australia on the other side of the world, to say, not put out a statement in honor of John McCain, but to say, raise the flags back up. Thanks to the @maddow for having me on tonight to highlight how ICE is terrorizing our community in Salt Lake City and across the country.
We need leaders who will stand up for our immigrant communities, listen to them, and take on the authoritarians like Trump who think they can get away with these atrocities. We don’t need more status-quo politicians like my opponent, Ben McAdams, who has been bought-and-paid for by the private prison industry and ICE contractors.
This new DHS facility (internment camp) moved forward without any community input. That’s not how democracy should work. We need systems rooted in compassion that create real pathways to citizenship, we need to abolish ICE and prosecute the folks responsible. The agency should lose any social license to operate for tearing families apart in our streets.
