Thank goodness the BBC has commissioned season 3 of Ludwig, I have so many questions. Great drama but I don't want to wait until 2027.
Have you watched Ludwig?
Just went to see The Haunting of Hill House...what an incredible atmospheric play. Excellent cast too. Characterisation is so important for me as a writer so to be able to glimpse into the backstory of each character and see the how and the why, really developed my connection to them.
The special effects were really clever...and intense.

Such sad news. RIP.
Peter May, one of Scotland's most prolific television writers and crime authors, has died at the age of 74.
The news of his death was announced by his wife and fellow author Janice Hally, who said she had "no words" to express the loss.
May died on Friday at his home in the south of France where he had lived for many years and had been nominated for several awards.
He sold about 15 million copies of his books around the world, and the novel he said would be his last - Island of the Dead - is to be published in January 2027.
A tribute from close friend and publisher, Jon Riley, said although May had announced his retirement and was looking forward to sharing it with his beloved wife, he found there was one more novel in him.

The Book of Birds by Jackie Morris and Robert Macfarlane has won the 2026 Wainright Prize Book of the Year...
Described by the judges as an “utterly beautiful book to treasure”, the book tells the story of 49 British birds, with illustrations by Jackie Morris and words by Robert Macfarlane. It’s a moving call to action and a celebration of UK birdlife

Yesterday, on @JeremyVineOn5 Jeremy mentioned @JaneCaseyAuthor and her many books so thought would have a look. I tend to listen to books rather than reading because I spend so much time in front of a screen so am starting off with Everything She Didn't Say.
Love a good thriller!
I have the new (Agatha Christie) Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel by Lucy Foley to listen to tonight.
Love an audio book as I can sit back, close my eyes and become a part of the story.

Absolutely loved this season of Bookish. Set in post WWII and is well worth a watch if you are looking for cleverly written plots and well-developed characters. You just get drawn into Mark Gatiss's TV detective.
