There was a lack of clarity from the outset regarding the number of stadiums to be constructed. Some media houses reported six, others seven, before the figure was later revised to ten, all supposedly scheduled to commence in 2026. We are already in the tenth month of 2026. How many of these stadium projects have actually commenced so far?

The Ghana cedi has recorded four consecutive trading days of appreciation, closing at GHΒ’11.65 to the US dollar on Thursday, 15 October 2026. This represents a 1.5% gain since 7 October 2026. The recovery reflects improved dollar liquidity in the foreign exchange market, supported by the Ghana Gold Board's direct supply of foreign exchange to commercial banks. A stronger cedi helps reduce the cost of imports, including petroleum products, and provides relief to businesses and consumers at a time of rising pressure on fuel prices. The GoldBod remains committed to sustaining foreign exchange supply to the market in support of currency stability and Ghana's broader economic resilience. #GoldBod #GhanaGold

The cedi is starting to regain ground as dollar liquidity improves, with GoldBod now supplying forex directly to banks. It has gained for four straight trading days and is up 1.5% since October 7, closing at 11.65 cedis to the dollar yesterday. This is welcome news as pressure builds at the pump. A stronger cedi is the biggest relief we have on petroleum product prices. Long may it continue
