Last day of MH AHP leads out and about for Nutrition and Hydration Week! Spent a lovely morning at the Western Community Hospital -spreading “Fruity Friday” goodies to both our MH and PH colleagues, ending in the afternoon attending another Global Tea Party at April House 💚💚

Parklands Hospital, had an amazing day today celebrating the global tea party as part of nutrition and hydration week! Today is Swallowing Awareness Day- and our Speech and Language Therapist in Parklands is an integral part of the MDT- what a great way to celebrate her!

We had some great pledges today on day 1 of Nutrition and Hydration Week! Hopefully my little water stickers should arrive tomorrow so they might help our teams keep track of their fluids 💚💚💦💦

First stop- Parklands! Promoting Nutrition and Hydration Week and making sure all our amazing staff have had breakfast and are remembering to drink plenty…not always easy to remember yourself when you work long, busy shifts 💚💚

Nutrition and Hydration Week 2025! We’ll be out and about Monday & Friday next week promoting the importance of good nutrition and keeping hydrated -seeing our AHPs and the MDTs they work in…we have some pledge cards to get filled in and may have some little snacks too 💚

Love it when the arrival of a purchase for my AHPs also has something for me ☕️— MH AHP Leads are out next week for Nutrition and Hydration wk, shining the light on Dieticians and Speech & Language Therapists in our MH services (I’m growing my sticker stash for other AHPs too!)

Day one of the OT Show….after a bit of a scary drive to the station…..was so excited to attend the lecture with Keir Harding….so many points resonated as a MH OT- really looking forward to part 2 with Keir today-might even get a selfie ☺️! Also got some fab merch!

Following our OT Week “out and about”we collected an amazing 113 gratitude stars from our MH Teams- thanking specific OTs and OT Teams and talking about the power and value of OTs…it was truly heart warming💚

Amazing day 5 today! Blown away by the OTs and their MDTs that we’ve visited this week- today was an amazing round off visiting Elmleigh, one of our CMHTs in Havant and also Gosport War Memorial….cakes iced, sensory bags made, stars of gratitude filled in…💚💚

Day 5 -OT Week 2024! What a week- showcasing the power of Occupational Therapy….so many stars have been filled in by our MDTs celebrating our OTs….today is our last day of getting out and about…today we are heading East…. Inpatient AMH, MH Rehab and OPMH inpatient 💚💚

Back with my MH AHP leads for Day 4 of OT Week….today saw us visiting our OPMH services in Southampton as well as with our AMH and OPMH and Mother and Baby unit in Winchester…we also managed a quick pop into the Neuro rehab unit in Southampton as well enroute 💚💚

Since I’ve only been a virtual presence with my other MH AHP Leads celebrating our amazing OTs for OT week, I thought I would spread the OT love and celebrate the amazing OTs at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital whilst I visited my dad! Love delivering surprise snacks to people! 💚💚

Happy OT week 2024- MH AHP Leads are out and about today at Tatchbury Mount and CMHT bases in Totton- cake, OT stickers and a little star to write down something to show the power of Occupational Therapy!
