When I vote I don't want unaffordable tax cuts. I want hospital beds. Libraries reopening. Trains that run on time. Kids who aren't too hungry to learn. Rivers that don't run with slurry. Local councils not bankrupted. Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.

🧵 Nothing can prepare you for how it feels when your pain is ignored by a health care professional, writes @amirahelsafty. For those with endometriosis, getting care is a constant struggle. Just getting diagnosed can take years. (1/5) thewalrus.ca/why-does-the-me…

I really hate that we now have to click into a tweet in order to like it, I also hate that the stats icon and info has taken over instead of the number of comments. I don’t care about the analytics of other peoples tweets, I’d rather know if people had something to say about it. – at North West, England

1. The screed written by Clarkson and the subsequent rationalisation dressed as an apology should horrify us all. You don't have to be "pro" Meghan or "woke" to recognise rabid, unhinged misogyny when you see it - and to reject it unequivocally.
