Today we've seen two political parties describe early education and childcare as critical infrastructure. That in itself is something to be welcomed and a win for everyone that has championed its importance of years.

There are too many children locked out of early education and childcare because of closures in their area, because they have SEND or because their parents don't meet the criteria for government support. The next government must address this. #RescueAndReform NEW VIDEO 🎥👇

We've heard nothing yet about EY in this election, but childcare matters to voters. Our annual survey found that 81% of parents w/kids under 5 are concerned about availability of places. The next gov must boost places & funding along with widening eligibility for the 30-hours 👇
📢NEW REPORT: Our annual Pulse Check explores voter attitudes towards early education & childcare. The public wants to see early years prioritised, places AND funding boosted, and policies that support parents to balance work & parenting Read it here👉 earlyeducationchildcare.org/…

A fantastic intro to @Camerados_org if you've not had the pleasure of coming across the movement yet 👇👇👇(& if you already know about it, it's still worth a watch - includes a great little bit about the importance of not 'fixing' people which you might like too @LACNetworkUK)
Don't miss this. ADASS East held an annual #carers event and we were lucky enough to have the wonderful @MaffPotts from @Camerados_org talking about connection, purpose and meaning which was the theme for the day. You can't solve #homelessness with bricks and mortar @vickysargent

This has some great points in it - being open about mistakes around assumptions, and lessons learnt about courage, support & safe conversations. Really worth reading
