What should a #palliativecare clinician be called?? All of them feel a little awkward to say, although I definitely know a few “palliateurs.” Preferences? #hapc

I’ve been practicing in Canada for 10 years and I don’t even know what a “prior auth” is. Well, I have an idea, but never seen one. We order, it gets done. Well, eventually. Wait lists we could talk about, but that’s resource based triage rather then wealth/corp based.

The forced separations & solo visits of the last 2 years have made clear to me what should always have evident: our patients’ caregivers are invaluable therapeutic allies and that we cannot forget to include them in our treatment plans or to acknowledge them as co-survivors 👇🏻
