Shipment + Hitreg
Shipment is live in #MW4 and the hitreg feels even worse.
I’m landing 6-8 bullets with an AR and still getting deleted like it was a one-shot.
Is this just me or is the desync way more noticeable on Shipment?
If this is happening to you, post a clip in the comments, I want to see and make comparisons.
I have a question for the Call of Duty #MW4 experts. Is it normal that I'm shooting first and I land 7 bullets, and then I get killed by an AR just like mine, but it seems like I was hit by a sniper? I don't think I'm a bot because I have a 1.64 K/D, but if this is only happening to me, I need to check my PC.
My only issue with #MW4 is tac sprint being locked behind a perk. It’s 2026 — stop designing around old CoD habits. Base movement speed is way too slow.
Worst part? The streamers who pushed hardest for this change haven’t touched multiplayer since launch. They’re all just in DMZ. @InfinityWard
#MW4 Multiplayer Early Impressions (from X since yesterday / launch day)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched today (Oct 23, 2026). Player feedback on multiplayer is heavily polarized, as usual for CoD, but clear themes emerged from posts on X.
The Good
• Gunplay feels strong: Many say weapons handle and sound fantastic, with solid hit feedback and expedited camo/leveling progress. TTK is often praised as better than recent ultra-fast entries (especially at range) rather than a pure laser-beam meta.
• Movement and core feel: Fluid and controlled for a lot of players. Some call the overall foundations solid and “promising,” with good performance, visuals, and audio.
• Certain modes/maps work: Lotus gets specific love, Kill Block (the modular map) is frequently called cool, and Ground War: Combat Outpost is appreciated as a larger-scale alternative. New modes like Inflation and expanded Gunfight add variety.
• Some genuine enjoyment: A decent chunk of players (including those who disliked recent entries) report having a good time, calling it fun or even “best multiplayer in years” when ignoring streamer noise. A few note that “Popular modes” may have reduced/open-style SBMM.
The Bad
• Maps are the #1 complaint: Repeatedly called ass, dogshit, horrid, or bland. Criticisms include poor flow, too much verticality, doors causing visibility/consistency problems (one side sees half-open, the other fully open), and a lack of standout classics. Specific maps like Sentry and Munition get singled out.
• SBMM/EOMM is cranked: Dominant complaint. Lobbies feel extremely sweaty (described as CDL finals or worse than previous titles), with little or no true open matchmaking available at launch. Many say it kills the fun quickly.
• Spawns are rough: Unreadable, broken, or still carrying over beta issues. Players report constant spawn-die cycles.
• Balance and feel inconsistencies: TTK often described as inconsistent (TTK/TTD discrepancy), SMGs underpowered/unusable for many, movement feeling clunky or restricted compared to expectations, and loud footsteps encouraging camping. MP XP progression is slower than DMZ for some.
• Other launch friction: Some players hit a locked multiplayer menu (workarounds via DMZ events reported), limited shotgun options, and general complaints that beta issues weren’t fully addressed.
Overall Sentiment on X Mixed-to-negative on pure multiplayer so far. Campaign and DMZ are getting far more consistent praise. Critics generally like the grounded, precise style and maps more than the average player on X does right now. Launch week is always the sweatiest period, and the usual CoD cycle of “this is trash / last year’s was better” is in full effect.
Early days — maps, balance, and matchmaking options will likely shift with patches and seasonal content. What’s your take if you’ve played? @CallofDutyCM @InfinityWard @CallofDuty
Wait a minute, they're giving you a permanent ban for leaving matches too often and they're mistaking it for boosting??? #MW4 @InfinityWard
Seeing the posts about how strong SBMM #MW4 is, well, I guess I'll have to buy the PS5 version too and do two boxing matches. At least @infinityward makes double the money off me.
In my personal opinion, and I'm sure I'm right, #GTA6 isn't going to be bigger than #MW4. Mark my words.

Yoo @InfinityWard Ban everyone who leaked #mw4! It's not fair to the majority of players.
Honestly, the solo tournament that @Swagg hosted, in the one creator vs. 50 iridescent series, was far more enjoyable to watch than any trios tournament. The entire tournament was pure action. @CallofDuty should add a solo ranked playlist and consider hosting solo vs. solo tournaments.
If DMZ doesn't guarantee solo play, why not add a "Find Party" option? That way, we can find people who speak our language, create squads, and make new friends. @gawdgriggs @InfinityWard
