Great first publication by Jinjie (Jason) exploring ionomer loading impact on alkaline oxygen reduction of non-precious metal catalysts in gas diffusion electrodes. Check it out!
kicking off the weekend with Jason's first PhD work in @CommsChem 🚀
He explored different ionomers in porous FeNC catalysts and their impact on performance in alkaline gas diffusion electrodes. @ImperialChemEng @Angus_Pedersen

The first of many @JesBarrio_ group photos! Very happy to be an honoury member 😁
Last week we got the first group picture courtesy of superstar photographer @Jingyu_Feng2019 📸, including also an honorary member and single atom catalyst Hall of Famer @Angus_Pedersen.
A breakthrough work from @at_bgu and team - introducing a novel zinc-air battery design with efficient catalysts to boot. Very happy to be involved in this work.
Great news for the new (Hebrew) year! Our research on reversible zinc–air batteries is online in Advanced Energy Materials! Congratulations, @KAlagarRaja, and we couldn't do it without our friends @Hod_Lab @NokedLab @JesBarrio_ @Angus_Pedersen

And @IfanStephens closed the conference with an overview of our research as he received the Geoffrey Barker medal 🏅 congrats !!!
Thoroughly enjoyed attending my first @RSCElectrochem conference in Manchester. A supportive and friendly community. Certainly won't be my last Electrochem!
Replying to @Interfacial_EC
@Angus_Pedersen discussed the local pH changes at the electrochemical interface of acidic oxygen reduction and its effect on the degradation of Fe-N-C catalysts.

One month in Japan- part 10. Finally it was just so amazing to spend time with @pineleaf1214 @helentyrrell14 @Angus_Pedersen Zamaan,HanziYe and Enrico in Japan doing science and fun and also to see former PhD student Shiori and of course Hiro from good old @MpiciPotsdam !
Very happy to share our latest work now out in E&ES:

Here we probed operando Fe dissolution under different acidic operating conditions and discovered the impact of pH change with increased O2 reduction current density 🧐
It started with a visit to @MaillardFreder4 in Grenoble nearly two years ago(!) and ended in a huge collaborative effort with teams of @IfanStephens @titiricigroup @JesBarrio_ @CherevkoSerhiy. Particular thanks to @KumarKavita12 and Yu-Ping for the excellent GDE work!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Solid State Ionics #ssi24 conference this week. Couldn't ask for a better location in the heart of London!
Happy to share our latest work on optimising and understanding ionomer:catalyst ratio in Fe-N-Cs for fuel cells is out in Journal of Power Sources: doi.org/10.1016/j.jpowsour.2…
An enjoyable and fruitful collaboration between us at Imperial: @titiricigroup @IfanStephens @JesBarrio_ & @GuangmeimeiY, Manchester: @sarahhaigh_mcr & Rongsheng, UCL: @RhodJerv, Theo & Dan, and Bar-Ilan: Lior, Rafi & Yan.
Also thanks to @CDT_ACM & @BritishCouncil for supporting the work
A lovely, sunny, graduation day yesterday spent with the best colleagues & mentors + family & friends. A perfect conclusion to the Ph.D. journey 😄
And two additional celebrations to share for my great supervisors!
@titiricigroup receiving the outstanding research award.
@IfanStephens recently delivering his excellent Professorship inauguration lecture (in a very pack lecture room!)
