BREAKING: FEMA chief tells states to prepare to handle disasters on their own, per POLITICO

We probably have 50 Elon Musks in Alabama, Kansas, Nebraska who were racially discriminated against in the 90s and who never got their foot in the door. You cannot even calculate how much DEI racial discrimination has crippled America. The opportunity cost is something like $50 trillion. It's not a coincidence that all of America's major tech figures today (Jensen, Peter Thiel, David Sacks, Elon Musk, etc..) are all foreigners. We spent the past 50+ years crushing our own domestic talent pool and using foreigners as a substitute.

An LSU senior and her firefighter fiance — high school sweethearts, both 21 years old — were killed early Sunday morning after a driver allegedly veered off a Baton Rouge road and struck them as they walked along the shoulder.
Leah Fonte died at the scene. Shane Hirstius was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. Police arrested 20-year-old Mia Dawson on charges including vehicular homicide, operating while impaired, and hit and run.
Fonte was studying biological sciences and set to graduate from LSU. Hirstius served as a volunteer firefighter with the River Ridge fire department, which remembered him as someone who "gave 110% of himself" and embodied "the very best of what it means to be a firefighter."

OpenCode is currently under a sustained cyberattack, and mid-incident they ran into the same problem Hugging Face did: the frontier models they were using for defense began refusing to help fight attacking agents because analyzing the attacks started triggering safety guardrails.
Replying to @RhysSullivan
yes that was a bit frustrating mid incident when trying to investigate. they did quite a bit and then started refusing
we got access to daybreak blue now so it's better

My coworker's mother passed away last November.
She left her modest $190,000 house to him clear and free, no mortgage, completely paid off after thirty years of factory work.
He moved into the home in January to finally settle the estate.
Two weeks ago, a letter arrived from the state Medicaid estate recovery office.
Because his mother spent four months in a rehabilitation facility before she passed, the state quietly slapped a retroactive $114,000 lien against the property title.
He called the state health department, frantic, asking how a hospital stay could bankrupt an inherited home that had no mortgage balance.
The caseworker sighed and told him:
"Federal law requires state programs to claw back healthcare costs from deceased estates. The house cannot be sold or transferred until the balance is cleared in full."
He offered to pay a monthly settlement.
They said no. The full $114,000 is due in 60 days, or they foreclose on the property at a public auction.
A lifetime of working-class savings, wiped out overnight by a retroactive healthcare lien.
You don't own generational wealth.
You're just holding a property title until the state finds a legal mechanism to repossess it the moment you die.

We deserve to see it crash. Not fireworks because those are Chinese, campfires are plenty. Tell your financial advisor and insurance friends thanks for their services.

Because indians at Meta control hiring and when they hire fellow indians they demand kickbacks and make 20% of the salary of the indian they hire.
We acquired a company once who we believe was doing this before we acquired them. After I took over I looked into the recruiting software they were using and it had an auto-rejection rule based on race. The only ethnicity that didn't get auto-rejected was indians.
I expect if you did a real investigation into these tech companies you would find something similar in each one. Wondering why you can send thousands of job applications and never get a single interview? This is why.

What tasks should AI be trusted with, and when should humans remain involved? Designing those decision rights is one of the defining challenges of the AI era. Researchers at the MIT Center for Information Systems Research have developed a framework to help.

ALT This image is an informational chart titled "The AI Decision Matrix" from MIT Sloan School of Management. It is a grid with axes labeled "Ambiguity" (vertical) and "Risk" (horizontal). The four quadrants are labeled: Exploratory (high ambiguity, low risk), Strategic (high ambiguity, high risk), Routine (low ambiguity, low risk), and Consequential (low ambiguity, high risk). Each quadrant describes an approach and decision type and includes recommended levels of human and AI involvement in decision-making. A legend at the bottom specifies decision components and participants, with icons for human and AI. Adaptation credit is given to authors and publication details at the bottom right.
What’s funny about the r/ community
in my area is how they cannot discern normal vs contrarian and wokeness. It’s all Reddit personified. The local art walk is full of hardware faces, multicolored hairstyles, and crystal booths.
