Why should Christians, especially those in @The_ACNA, care about canon law?
Because good governance isn’t an end in itself. It helps create the conditions in which the Church can faithfully pursue her mission. Canon Andrew Rowell explains why good order matters for the sake of the Gospel:

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure conduct. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom, in thy Name, we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. – at Mashpee, MA

UPDATE: In addition to passing Title IV and Title I revisions, the Diocese of South Carolina has withdrawn its resolutions that sought the release of records related to the Ruch matter by the Trial Court. Bishops Chip Edgar and Chris Warner said the goal was transparency, not overturning prior decisions. An independent inquiry led by four diocesan chancellors will now examine the process, with results to be made public, due to a meeting with all parties involved before the Council began today. It is because of this agreement between the parties that South Carolina will withdraw their previous resolutions.

For those following legislative action at the ACNA's Provincial Council: the amended Rules of Order have been adopted, which restrict delegates to an "up or down vote" on canonical amendment proposals and disallow further changes of their text from the floor at debate.
