Visiting with neighbors today and hearing a lot about affordability and keeping the Texas economy strong. 🌧️☀️Rain or shine, it's a good time to talk about cutting taxes and lowering the costs of essentials. Let's work together for a brighter, more affordable future!

Thank you, @txcomptroller! I filed HB1681 last session to eliminate the double tax on marketplace providers. One transaction shouldn’t be taxed 2x. Glad to see momentum behind this effort to make Texas taxes fairer. Now we need to get rid of the inventory tax on food & medicine.

We’re in Rowlett today hearing from neighbors about their priorities. The cost of living keeps coming up. Grocery prices & property taxes are putting pressure on families. I’m working to lower the cost of essentials like food & medicine to help Texans keep more of what they earn.

The House Ways & Means Committee is at work today discussing interim charges. We are currently hearing testimony on one of my favorite topics, Property Tax Relief! You can tune in here house.texas.gov/videos/22814
