Important Update: Current Speedrun Event & Future Leaderboards Before the official release of xivspeedrun.com leaderboards, I want to clarify something regarding video submissions. A participant recently contacted me about a small recording glitch in their footage. Cases like this mean I sometimes need to make a judgment call as a reviewer. I'll share more details about this specific case after the current event has ended. This applies to both the ongoing event and all future leaderboard submissions. Recording and Technical Issues Minor technical issues can occasionally affect recordings or livestream archives. Small, unintentional hiccups in the footage are acceptable and will not automatically disqualify a submission, provided there is no reasonable indication that the footage has been intentionally edited or manipulated. If a recording contains a brief gap, dropped frames, a lag spike, or another technical irregularity, the submission may still be accepted as long as the run can be reasonably verified. Each case will be assessed individually, taking the available footage and any relevant evidence into account. I don't want every small glitch or hiccup to be treated as editing or to prevent someone from submitting an otherwise legitimate run. Sometimes, I'll simply need to make a judgment call. My goal is to maintain fair and reliable leaderboards without penalizing runners for minor technical issues outside their control. Thank you all for your understanding! So I have finished up the base of the site, even though I said it would take probably take until the next year before we launched some days ago😂However I would like your help before we offically go on!
