European pre-seed deals this week aren't speculative. They're targeted bets on provable problems.
$5.5M → AI real estate development (France)
€871.7K → AI ops for creative agencies (London)
€5M → satellite climate monitoring (Switzerland)
€1M → fintech infrastructure (Prague)
European VC stabilised at €58B after the 2021 correction. Valuations are 30-40% below peak.

1/ Three years ago, the $1–2.5m round was the recognisable middle of pre-seed. It's becoming a smaller part of the market.
5/ The band thinning out did the practical work: enough to reach first traction, early enough to be backed on conviction, not consensus. It hasn't disappeared. It just leans more on people willing to make an early call.
6/ Angels Den has helped founders and angel investors meet around that cheque since 2007.
