@ug_lawsociety training on Land and Commercial Justice in Mbarara. Remarks from Grace Angeline Chelimo, @JLOSUganda:
“I appreciate our partners @ug_lawsociety @IDLO @NLinUganda for supporting this private legal practitioners training. Land and commercial justice are interconnected since land is the main collateral used to secure loans or commercial credit. The delays in resolution of land and commercial disputes negatively impact agricultural productivity, livelihoods and supresses private investments hence hindering economic development. This training offers an opportunity to learn and acquire new important skills for your daily professional work as lawyers handling commercial and land transactions, drafting legal documents and litigating cases.”

Happy #WorldPangolinDay
Climate change is making the planet hotter and drier. For pangolins, it’s a case of either adapting or risking extinction. But they face an even greater challenge from wildlife traffickers.
We are doing everything we can to conserve them.
