My grandpa was a Pentecostal preacher. When an old lady told me I was anointed, I didn’t know what that meant. But Mama said, “No, that means that God has his hand on you, and you may do Something Special.”
That triggered a faith in me, because I believed that I was supposed to do something good, especially after she told me. I thought “Well, then this is my responsibility. I’m going to do something good.”
So, I kind of held that also in the back of my mind, whether that was predestined or not or whether I just took that little grain of faith and made that so for myself. Either way it worked.
And I never let go of that because I always felt responsible to God that I was supposed to be doing something for God.

I was saddened to hear that Dolly Parton died today. She was one of those rare Americans who everyone just seemed to like. She had 11 brothers and sisters, and they grew up in a one-bedroom log cabin in the mountains of Tennessee. She often talked about going to a small church where her grandfather preached, and she started singing hymns and playing guitar there at a very young age. I'm sure her family would appreciate your prayers.

I've read the stats.
Addiction clinics have a success rate of 4-35%.
The bigger issue is that no one even asked if they should.
They answered the first question of "Well can we?" with "No, we can't."
but they followed it up with
-"but we can all get insanely wealthy if we try."
Everything is now viewed through the lens of addiction. All of a sudden cancer, Lupus, RA, SCD, Crohn's, etc. doesn't matter unless the patient can be funneled into the fraudulent addiction industry that has no oversight. While media continues to discuss the Sacklers and funding pain orgs took 15 years ago, there is ZERO transparency for addiction orgs, pharma funding, gov grants, treatment centers, etc. When will addiction industry have oversight and scrutiny the way pain orgs and pharma has? If you knew much about the Suboxone pushers, the pharma funded DSM, those who are over SAMHSA, etc, maybe you'd care. Or, when it's your 80 year old mother screaming on her death bed with untreated agony due to "prevention."
