To be honest it's mainly about records. #MDANT unlikely though that seems

My latest monthly playlist is now up on Spotify. A selection that reflects the changing of the seasons, the chill of outdoors and the warmth of home. New music and new to me music sitting nicely beside old favourites.
I hope you find something new to love.

I've pretty much given up on this place, come on over to Bluesky. It's not owned by a maniac and you actually get to have reasonable conversations with real people. I know right? Sounds like this place ten years ago

The "record label" is a kitchen table full of tapes, photos, files and Post-It notes, run purely on love, and every morning I come down and see it and think, "I married a brilliant man." And also, "But there's nowhere for me to put my breakfast."

Spending the next few hours providing the soundtrack to our community autumn festival. A selection handpicked from this over long playlist. If you're in St Albans come down to the Cottonmill community and cycling centre from 1-30 till 3-30

My latest monthly playlist is now up on Spotify. It's a list that reflects the changing of the seasons, music heard (and bought) on a trip to Paris, & a selection of brilliant things that have stopped me in my tracks. I hope you find something new to love open.spotify.com/playlist/4H…

So many young people I meet who're getting into filmmaking are middle class/from uni/have family in the arts
If you don't come from those worlds, if you're working class + passionate about cinema, and wld like zoom chat, DM me
Am not offering work, just encouragement/perspective

September, the month where the leaves start to fall and my monthly playlists take on a more wistful woodsmokey feel. This month's list clings onto summer but always carries a jumper, just in case. I hope you find something new to love.

I asked the good people at Toppermost ( @AgeingRaver ) if they would be interested in me writing about some of my favourite Madness tracks. Happily they said yes, and you can read the results here.

“It's not very often that the high watermark of a band’s career comes towards the end rather than the beginning, but 2009's The Liberty Of Norton Folgate is an astounding album.”
A Madness top 10 on Toppermost today from @Andymack

So farewell, Tony Soper. Said quietly & insistently, while observing an avocet or badger. He seemed Spock-like to me as a child - calm, wise, quizzical. TV had a few like him then - public intellectuals & experts who spoke only to children, and always as equals. I miss them.
I've finally got around to writing something on my sadly neglected blog.

Since I reported a post that superimposed Starmers Face on footage of Hitler & X said there was nothing wrong with it I've been really wondering what I'm doing here. I'm over at the other places as andy_mackenzie on Threads & AndyMack on Bluesky. I hope to catch up with you soon.

My latest monthly playlist is up on Spotify. A selection that's mainly been guided by the music that's drifted up the garden and the laid-back feeling it's induced. I hope you find something new to love.spotify.link/fNUJoGcP3Lb
