Last Friday I was traveling back to the US from Spain to visit family for the first time. We had a connection in @Gatwick_Airport and got to the counter just under an hour before our flights so @British_Airways marked us as a “no show” and would not let us board.

Full disclosure we booked all of this through @Expedia via @Iberia and I’ve contacted both of them and nobody will help me. We still have no flights home 😔

The lessons learned 1. Be careful piecing flights together through an aggregator like Expedia 2. Make sure you know how you can check in more than an hour before 3. Always check where all your bags are

It’s odd I think sometimes about how much importance we place on our daily decisions and what other people think. And then I zoom out and remember that everyone we know and come into contact with will be dead in 100 years and the world will continue on without us.

Things can always be better but they could also be worse. Having perspective and gratitude for what you do have today is just as important as striving to improve your situation for tomorrow 🤔

If we are alive, then we can still learn and grow. Being “set in our ways” is a choice. The world is always changing and we need to be learning and adapting if we want to keep up. That’s why continuous learning is so important for future success.

It’s awesome to be ambitious and want to achieve more and create a better future. But we also have to remember to be proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and grateful for what we have. That’s how we create happiness today ✅

It’s interesting that we cannot change the past and we can’t control the future, but we can take ownership of the life we have today to create more of the future we want (while also being grateful for what we have now) 🙏🏼

In a world, full of negativity, cynicism, and criticism, I choose to be optimistic and positive, and share my positivity with others. I also choose to follow and share uplifting and positive content. You can make the same choice.

We can’t change the past and we definitely can’t control the future. All we can do is work hard to put ourselves on a preferred path and improve our chances of achieving our goals or the life we want. And then try to make the best of the situations we are given in each moment.

Big goals can be intimidating but if we can break them down into smaller daily or weekly habits, we can start to make regular progress that will eventually add up to big changes. I've used it many times.

Want to get into better shape, ask what you can do on a daily basis that will help you improve. I set a goal to move my body and eat vegetables every day. Not that complicated

Just popping into your feed to remind you that life is an absolute gift 🎁 We are so lucky to be alive in this time. But it’s up to use to see things that way and then to take advantage of our time here (the gift).

My uncle told me when I was young to “never look a gift-horse in the mouth” and so I am committed to making the most of my time here. What about you?

Top 5 reasons I believe people don't achieve their goals: 1. No plan 2. They don't make time to work on the plan or goals 3. They don't believe they can do it 4. They worry too much about things being "perfect" 5. They try to do it on their own and don't get help what else?
