Debbie and I are just home from our first overseas Parkrun at Applecross near Fremantle. Guy sees my shirt and says he's married to a Derby lass. Lady standing next to us grew up in our hometown, Haywards Heath.

Arrived safe and sound in Perth after a 16.5 hours flight from Heathrow. Very little sleep on flight . In bed at 8.30pm local, 1.30pm UK, hoping the jet lag will be kind.

A really tough day ensues today as we say farewell to my dear Mum. I'm already struggling and the ceremony doesn't start until 12.30pm. As Mum liked Brighton & Hove Albion, I've dug out a non football blue & white striped shirt for the day. It's a fine day in Sussex thankfully. – at Haywards Heath, England

Sensible pricing of £29 by @SunderlandAFC unlike £38 at @sufc. Shocking for Championship level. – at London, England

Home from Derby. Time for a cheeky pint or three to celebrate a great win. Today has given me confidence that we will do ok this season.

Kayden Jackson has been brilliant since joining the Rams. 3️⃣ goals (in all comps) & 1️⃣ assist in his first 6️⃣ games is a fantastic return. Whilst being a free agent, I think Ipswich deserve a free box of ‘After Eights’ & a thank you card. #dcfc #itfc

As Barrow is an extreme trip on a Tuesday evening from Sussex to watch Derby I will get my football fix watching the Sussex "derby". The Amex for Brighton v Crawley. – at Haywards Heath, England

Sleep well Mum. Now reunited with Dad after only 378 days apart. You had so many challenges health wise all your life but you always remained cheerful. Hopefully you knew Nikki and me were with you until very near the end but we respect that you wanted to be on your own. 💔💔💔 – at Bromley, London
