Blue Oak Interactive has a new website and focus after 14 years. Broadening the tools, pairing problems with stable modern solutions. Apps (Drupal, React, Hono). AI consulting (local, Bedrock, Cloudflare). Infra consulting (IaC).
New site is up 🚀: blueoakinteractive.com
Today's buzz.xyz fanboy post...
1) opensource / self host-able
2) api based for vibe-coding your own apps
3) no vendor lock-in (switch agents at will)
5) don't even have to use the app 👇
I had a Mac OS app built with Opus 5.5 so that I can talk to my buzz relay when I don't want to open buzz.
No wonder people are excited about @OmarchyLinux . Normal finder view, added a new folder, folders "reorganize" like this. What is the point of ever having this type of layout? Much less randomly just sorting to this for no reason.
Testing out meta muse to compare to grok bot and others. The animated avatar feature is a nice touch. It created a duane allman avatar that moves around and puts headphones at a computer when doing work 😂
Things I like about Buzz from Block:
1) Host my own Slack-style agent orchestrator
2) Control Claude Code, Hermes, Grok, and Pi from a central interface
3) Get rich media back (screenshots)
4) No fighting things newlines and formatting from tui output
5) Isolate agents to different projects on different hosts
6) Inter-agent communication
Buzz from block has become my go to tool for orchestration since it was relesed. But I haven't seen others talking about it recently. What are you using?
Buzz is the first tool that allows me to control all my agents and harnesses from a single interface outside the terminal. Hermes comes close, but I want to talk to the harnes directly, not have Hermes broker the comms. I also love herdr, but using it from a phone is challenging and you don't get rich media like screenshots.
Open source credits still feel good even when they're done by agents (driven by human intent)! #hermes
If you have the MCP Sample and use Reaper, check out : github.com/andyg5000-agent/m…
Takes a .xpj project from the sample and converts to to a Reaper .rpp project. Items like effects aren't included because they require a mix-down, but you can pass --with-effects to the script to insert Reaper equivalents.
As a heavy AI user in my workday, I've worked to keep AI out of my creative processes like music recording and production. However having github.com/shiehn/total-reap… wired into reaper has helped unlock some big improvements. I'm a long-time reaper user due to the hackability, but diving in actions menus kills me. Now it's just "Hey I want to bounce all my hardware inserts as a new take" and done 🤘
I've used @harvest since at least 2012 and was amazed they never charged me more than $12/mo. I knew the buyout would lead to an increase, but this is insane. Guess I'll vibe code a replacement 🤣
Thanks to @steveruizok I'm in on the esp32 game.
Giving the agent access to an ip cam has been helpful, but I have had some issues including completely crashing out my mac laptop a few times.
Is there a list of repos being shared for these projects yet?
Impressive case study from @AndyG5000 at @dripyardstyle about how @Tojio moved a site from Squarespace to Drupal CMS in 4 weeks 🚀 (including branding and content) 🎨✨

It's amazing how short lived tools seem to be these days. At the beginning of the year, I wouldn't have believed that I would stop using vscode. Since vibe term, tmux, zellij, herdr, and now buzz, I've adjusted my workflow almost monthly 😵💫
I think I finally hit an unlock with @xyz buzz. I had trouble getting local buzz agents to work, but getting them set up across my remote systems with ACP is doing exactly what I've been trying to set up for over a year. Secure communication with different harnesses I control.

CSS container style queries reached Baseline support. Mike Herchel writes on DripYard that custom-property style() queries could simplify some Drupal front-end CSS, while core adoption waits on Firefox ESR.

If you're doing any thing with claude, opencode, pi, etc.. and not using this, you should stop and set it up. This is 4th tool I've used trying to solve these problems and by far the best. Thanks to @Jilles for an awesome brief!

I started using a tool recently too incredible not to share. Both DHH and Mitchell Hashimoto praised it and I finally checked it out.
It's called Hunk and it totally changed how I review and refactor code written by/with agents.
The next 5 minutes will prove it to you:
