Five heatwaves in one summer - so far. Record levels of wildfires, burnt homes, dead people and Billions wiped from our economy. This story adds global context and emphasis. We are in a climate crisis. People who deny that, like @TiceRichard - are dangerous, he does it out of political expediency, I reckon. What ARE we going to do about the media in the UK? They are no longer journalists or newscasters, but seem to want to create the news themselves. This is unacceptable, and has been for decades with Murdoch etc, but now our national broadcaster, the BBC, has jumped into the cess pit too. Something to look at @Keir_Starmer perhaps? A new Director General at @BBC might be a good starting place, then banning non-domiciles from owning our national press. Just a thought to sort the bastards out.
