Any #AndroidDev with #Omarchy on Apple Silicon? DM or reply
The new androidx.a2ui architecture for Jetpack Compose is surprisingly clean:
* a2ui-model / engine: Validates JSON payloads & handles agent errors
* compose-runtime: Drives state via Snapshot state system
* compose-ui: Maps component catalogs (M3 included) to native UI
Agents negotiate capabilities via versioned schemas, meaning no arbitrary code execution on device.

60Hz gives you ~16.6ms per frame, 120Hz drops that to ~8.3ms. A single main-thread disk read or heavy layout pass during VSYNC-app will trigger dropped frames instantly.

Setting up Ktor in Kotlin Multiplatform just got a lot cleaner. Version 3.6.0 introduces ktor-client-engine-defaults, meaning you can spin up an HttpClient() in common code without manually wiring platform-specific engines every time. Big quality-of-life win for KMP. 🚀

AI integrations can get complex fast.
In this #KotlinConf talk, David Denton shows how Kotlin helps keep the MCP SDK design simple: composable functions, clear abstractions, in-memory testing, and less framework magic.

📍 The Kotlin roadmap has been recently updated!
Our key focus areas:
✨ Language evolution – keeping Kotlin concise and expressive, and prioritizing ergonomics and safety over ceremony.
📱 Kotlin Multiplatform – becoming the foundation for modern cross-platform apps through a solid iOS experience, mature web targets, and reliable IDE tooling.
🧩 Staying agnostic – supporting developers no matter their tools or targets.
📦 The experience of third-party ecosystem authors – simplifying the development and publication process for Kotlin libraries, tools, and frameworks.
Explore concrete plans across Language, Compiler, Multiplatform, Tooling, and Ecosystem areas, including Ktor and Exposed, plus roadmap items we’ve completed since February.

Koin Compiler Plugin 1.2 is out and covers all Koin DSL 👋
Compile-time safety now covers all Koin DSL: single<T>(), singleOf(::T) and single { Foo(get()) }. Nothing to rewrite.
Plus cross-module definitions, Ktor install(Koin), Kotlin 2.3.20 to 2.4.20.

Kotlin 2.4.20 standard library updates drop allEqual and allDistinct (plus their *By selector variants). No more clunky set creations or custom .all {} checks just to verify collection uniqueness.
Lazy exception message evaluation in kotlin.test is a nice performance win too.

Huge KMP/iOS updates in Kotlin 2.4.20: Swift Export now supports defining interfaces in Kotlin and implementing them via Swift (e.g., Apple CryptoKit), plus exhaustive switch matching on sealed types.
Incremental compilation for Native debug builds continues to get faster too.

We've heard you want better blur support in Compose!
The latest #JetpackCompose alpha introduces Progressive Blur for layers - allowing you to apply a non-uniform blur to your content (not backdrop just yet 😉) ! You can apply vertical, horizontal, radial gradients or even a custom blur intensity mask driven by a shader. 🪄
Available for API 33+
Omarchy Quattro has been downloaded more than 300,000 times in the first month of release! Absolutely astounding number. Not sure there's even been a Linux release quite like this before? omarchy.org
