At the crux of the arguments in court today were as follows: RJ Luis Case: The rules are not applied evenly for pro players who play overseas and then come to college vs. those who play in the states. Also argued that the NCAA had previously already ruled RJ was "permanently ineligible" which is against their review processes NCAA Case: We've applied these same rules to everyone who's ever tried to come back from NBA and no one has had success. Judge Ron Johnson in his findings concluded that RJ Luis did not play professionally, more so that he practiced professionally. Argued that the NCAA did not prove that RJ Luis knew the ramifications of his decision to enter the NBA Draft (again, this is court, not common sense sports stuff) Judge Johnson found that there are two different groups, those who play professionally overseas vs. those who play professionally here in the states.
