I told the @HouseofCommons recently that Labour have already brought the tourism and hospitality sector to it's knees with higher taxes.
And now they're bringing in an entire new tourism tax!
When will Labour learn, you cannot tax your way to growth?
Labour’s tax hikes are hammering hospitality.
📊 £318 million extra in business rates for small venues.
🍺 Average pub:
• +15% next year – £1,400 more
• £4,500 more in 2027/28
• £7,000 more in 2028/29
➡️ £12,900 extra over three years
🏨 Average hotel:
• £28,900 more next year
• £65,000 more in 2027/28
• £111,000 more in 2028/29
➡️ Over £200,000 extra in total
And all of this just before Labour’s new tourism tax.
Jobs, investment and local businesses are being put at risk.
👉 The Conservatives would scrap business rates for retail, hospitality and leisure.

You would have to go a long way to find a better pair of Ian’s, top men with great values and outlook. Best to you both as always. 🙏

I see there was a bit of a discussion about how Cheltenham racecourse looks at the moment
If only there was a large nearby hill where you could see for yourself
Oh wait……

Would have a listen to both Sanjay and Colin recent interviews on the rationale and plans. Needless to say an emotive topic but makes complete sense on many levels.
Why snub Headingley when the pitches are great and players love it?
