National took its pre-election tax calculator offline ahead of the budget on Thursday. Any unflattering comparisons with pre-election tax promises will be way harder with it erased from the web. Don't think anyone will forget that $250 a fortnight 'back pocket boost' though.

Wild difference between this graph supporting Wayne Brown's Port of Auckland plan and the same numbers plotted properly - supposedly meant to 'present the numerical values of the three different options rather than plot to scale on an x/y axis'. Bit misleading

Say what you like about Reality Check Radio, it's an extremely good gag paying for a plane to tow this ad around and then putting out a video a few months later with your hosts standing in a field asking for donations because you've somehow run out of money

Interested to see how National handles this one, they're pro-business so presumably pro-repeal but also have proudly Christian MPs (&PM) that might support how we currently observe Easter
A Member’s Ballot has just taken place. Two bills were drawn out. The first bill drawn was no.45, Repeal of Good Friday and Easter Sunday as Restricted Trading Days (Shop Trading and Sale of Alcohol) Amendment Bill in the name of Cameron Luxton. (1/2)

In other media news today: Newsroom had success in the Court of Appeal in overturning a High Court injunction that forced us to remove a Melanie Reid video investigation on Oranga Tamariki's 'reverse uplift' of four kids. Three years ago. Judges said we did not identify kids.

Sunday was partly axed over streaming performance, but it's not given a real platform on TVNZ+. You've got to scroll past movies, PFL highlights, "astonishing true stories", sub-rate American shows, get to the news section then swipe left ~3 times to find it. Self-fulfilling?
