We're building our own TypeScript compiler to bring PocketJS to even smaller hardware. Our team member @_HalfSweet is leading the work, and she's using the GBA as an extreme stress test at 16MHz and 288KB RAM.
Let's see what's next 👾

Thanks to @Out_of_Spec for showing the the label on the Cybercab battery pack we know the exact capacity of the pack. 255.2v x 146AH = 37.3kWh! Structural pack design also confirmed by the seat mounting directly on top of the battery.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The battery label shows minimum voltage (255.2 V) and 146 Ah rated capacity, not nominal voltage for energy calculation. EPA certification lists the pack at 326 V nominal for ~47.6 kWh.

This tiny ESP32-S3 packs an impressive amount of hardware into 24mm.
The M5Stack ATOMS3R is a tiny IoT controller built around a dual-core ESP32-S3 running at up to 240MHz, with 8MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM.
It also has a 128×128 color display, BMI270 6-axis IMU, BMM150 magnetometer, programmable button and IR transmitter, plus USB-C and expansion GPIO.
At just 24 × 24 × 12.9mm and 6.8g, this is small enough to disappear inside the project you are building.
You can program it with Arduino, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO or UiFlow2, so it is a pretty capable little platform for embedded and IoT experiments.
At $17.50, it is the kind of board you can throw into a project just to see what you can build.
Tiny board. Full ESP32-S3. Lots of possibilities.

🤯 An ESP32 inside a PCIe slot might be the coolest PC mod you will see today.
This open-source project turns an ESP32-H2 into a PCIe x1 card that can remotely power on, reset, and control your PC through Home Assistant.
Instead of relying on Wake-on-LAN, it interfaces directly with the motherboard's Power and Reset pins while drawing power from the PCIe 3.3V auxiliary rail, allowing it to stay active even when the PC is turned off.
What You'll Learn
- ESP32-H2 firmware
- Zigbee networking
- Home Assistant integration
- PCIe hardware design
- PCB design
- MOSFET switching
- Motherboard front-panel interfaces
- Embedded power management
- Hardware bring-up
- Embedded debugging
What makes it clever is its simplicity.
It doesn't modify your motherboard or replace your power button but it simply works alongside the existing hardware while adding smart remote control.
Projects like this are a great reminder that embedded engineering isn't always about building new devices, sometimes it's about making existing ones smarter.

Replying to @ChuckCook @Tesla
We've identified PCS electronics in pre-2026 Cybertrucks that do not meet our reliability standards and have made design changes to address this in newer vehicles.
Next steps for existing owners:
– Model year 2026: PCS warranty is now standard at 7 years/70k miles
– Model year 2024/2025: PCS warranty extended to 8 years/150k miles
Starting in the next few weeks, we will reimburse any charges for those who already required a PCS replacement and paid out of pocket.
We're working hard on increasing supply chain availability of this improved version.
As an immediate remedy, we've rolled out a software update so you can keep Supercharging even if a PCS failure occurs, and have enabled free Supercharging for trucks waiting for part availability
View of Starship in space from a Starlink V3 satellite on Flight 13.
This composite is made of imagery from four separate cameras on a single satellite. Six of the satellites were equipped with cameras to scan Starship’s heat shield and transmit imagery down to operators to continue testing methods of analyzing Starship’s heat shield readiness for return to launch site on future missions
