Maybe the difference between an artist and everyone else is simply the awareness of the trace they leave behind.

I often wonder how much of what we create/design today will still be appreciated fifty years from now. Being a designer before an artist, I’ve always been fascinated by how timeless some old designs are. We live in a time where something designed five years ago can already feel outdated, while creations from decades/centuries ago can still stop you in your tracks. I truly admire those who still attempt to create with a strong identity, rather than simply designing for short-term trends and chasing a future increasingly shaped by optimisation, minimalism and sameness.

Tradition isn’t the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. The past shouldn’t be replicated. The future is built from what we choose to carry forward.

Thought I was a procrastinator. Turns out I just let things marinate for as long as they need. I found peace realising not everything has to be externalised, finished, or shared. I keep creating, and I trust my vision.
