Doctors @pseudokinase, @IBDmedicaldoc, @AndreSamson15 & @aysha_h_alani published findings in “Science” about a molecular defect happening very early in IBD progression that may help explain why flare-ups and disease relapse can occur. scitechdaily.com/scientists-…
Thank you Ivan for this thoughtful Research Highlight in @cell_res on our recent @ScienceMagazine paper. Great read!
#NoTimeToDie! Happy to share my Research Highlight @cell_res about a new #necroptosis to #apoptosis axis predicting #IBD relapse recently published @ScienceMagazine by Murphy &co 👉 science.org/doi/10.1126/scie… nature.com/articles/s41422-0…
Thrilled to share our work! science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…
Patients can look well-controlled and still have epithelial death programs running. We found it in nascent IBD lesions on advanced therapy and it flagged who relapsed over 2–3 years. @WEHI_research @NHMRC #ScienceResearch
And big thanks to the whole team @WEHI_research @TheRMH including @pseudokinase @IBDmedicaldoc @aysha_h_alani the X-less Jiyi Pang, James Vince & Edwin Hawkins, the support from @NHMRC @KR_Foundation @crohnscolitisau, and to the patients with #IBD who were involved in this study

Excited to see our work published in @ScienceMagazine. So proud of my PhD student @aysha_h_alani, co-first author. Incredible collaboration between @WEHI_research & @TheRMH —a step towards helping people with #IBD achieve more durable remission. #CrohnsDisease #UlcerativeColitis
Uncovered: early molecular warning signs of inflammatory bowel disease reveal the condition can begin before symptoms appear and continue silently even when patients appear well.

Intersted what happened after a cell dies by pyroptosis? 💀💥 We discovered something pretty cool - filopodia coverning pyroptotic macrophage to activate Clec9a on cDC - read Kate’s @inflammasomelab wonderful tweet👇including some awesome movies 🤩 @IMBatUQ @UQ_News
Have you ever wondered whether pyroptotic corpses have functions beyond the grave? We made the surprising discovery that pyroptotic corpses are flagged by #filopodia to alert #DendriticCells they need autopsy. A short Tweetorial (1/13)👇with movies!
