Your people are already asking AI about the Bible. Barna's new research shows pastors and congregations are not on the same page about what should happen next. 🧵

Practicing Christians are four times as likely as pastors to want AI to settle a disagreement by giving only the most widely agreed interpretation. Nearly 20% of them, and about twice as many pastors, say contested passages should not be interpreted at all.

The pastoral task is clear: teach people to weigh interpretations, not to outsource judgment to a machine. Barna/Gloo, State of the Church 2026; surveys of 1,514 U.S. adults (Nov 2025) and 442 Protestant pastors (Dec 2025). What is your church teaching about AI and Scripture?

Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan, cut off from family, doctors, and even worship. Religious freedom is not an abstraction when a prisoner cannot pray with his own community. The church should know their names and refuse to look away.
Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan are being denied contact with their families, medical professionals, and international humanitarian groups, while restrictions on their Christian religious practice have raised more concerns about their treatment. persecution.org/2026/10/09/a…

Ezekiel 28 strips every human pretension bare: will you still call yourself a god in front of those who kill you? Wealth and wisdom both end at the same grave. Only the God who judges is also the God who saves.
“Will you still say, ‘I am a god,’ in the presence of those who kill you?” Ezekiel 28:9

Mark's Gospel reads like testimony from people who were there, not legend polished later. Details tucked in the corners of the story, the kind only an eyewitness would remember, keep showing up. That is one reason the church can trust the story it preaches.
The canonical Gospels are sourced in eye-witness testimony and were written within living memory of the events they describe. Inconspicuous indicators of eyewitnesses reveal what is happening behind the scenes more than front-and-center observations. thegospelcoalition.org/artic…

1/7 The mission field moved next door. For generations, most churches pictured missions as something that happened somewhere else. We prayed, gave, and waited for reports home. That work still matters. 🧵

6/7 When persecution scattered the Jerusalem church, 'those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went' (Acts 8:4). Israel was told to 'love them as yourself' (Lev 19:34).

7/7 Mission has always belonged to the whole church. Some of it still crosses oceans. Some of it now crosses the street. Who has God placed within walking distance of your church?
