If you're wondering what's going on with the TV pool, here's my latest summary of the situation >>> The major networks intend to resume coverage of Trump's events this morning. The pool rotation is alphabetical. Yesterday would have been ABC's turn, so today CBS is on pool duty at the White House. CNN also has an in-town pool assignment as the president is set to travel to the National Archives with Chinese leader Xi Jinping later this morning. The White House approved the organization’s credentials for poolers for that event and as of Friday morning, the network appeared to be on track to fulfill its responsibilities. Both networks have confirmed that they are moving forward with pooled coverage, although the situation remains fluid given the Trump administration's recent actions. Ted Boutrous, CNN, MS NOW and Politico’s lawyer, said in an interview on "The Lead with Jake Tapper" that the plaintiffs in the ongoing lawsuit over White House access believe that pool access "is covered by the temporary restraining order" that Judge Timothy Kelly issued early Thursday morning. "We think that that restoration of access means back into the pool, which is good for President (Donald) Trump and the administration, and it’s good for the American people to get the pool back up and running," Boutrous said.
