“Is shifting” has been true statement for a while. Question is maturity of optical to ground which lags optical intersatellite. Meanwhile RF/Ka downlink rates are increasing. 50/50 RF/optical data volume down in 2030? Sooner?

We have a telescope!🤩 Last week, summit staff successfully installed Rubin Observatory's combined primary/tertiary mirror. With all three mirrors & the commissioning camera in place, we officially—for the first time in 15 years of construction—have a complete telescope!🥳 🧵

Do you think the price paid per servicing mission is increasing, decreasing or staying about the same?

✅ Joby acquires Xwing autonomy division ✅ We're pleased to announce that Joby has acquired the autonomy division of @xwinginc, a leader in the development of autonomous technology for aviation. Founded in 2016, Xwing has completed 250 fully autonomous flights and more than 500 auto-landings to date, becoming the first company to receive an official project designation for the certification of a large uncrewed aerial system (UAS) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in April 2023 and the first to receive an Air Force Military Flight Release in 2024. The Superpilot software, developed in-house at Xwing enables safe, uncrewed operations, supervised from the ground, and is the world’s first fully autonomous gate-to-gate flight technology. While the aircraft Joby is certifying will have a fully-qualified pilot on board, we recognize that a future generation of autonomous aircraft will play an important part in unlocking our vision of making clean and affordable aerial mobility as accessible as possible and this acquisition places Joby at the forefront of aviation autonomy. Welcome to the Joby team! Read more: jobyaviation.com/news/joby-a…

Rather than "has been fueling the 20-year-old spacecraft" I'd say "has been providing propulsion for ..." or station keeping for, or something similar

A further way to slice it is normalize by size of graduating class. That would probably amplify your US/UK point vis-a-vis Stanford, challenge it some for Cal Berkeley.
