Worth understanding what just happened: this isn’t just for Atom.
Any marketplace, SaaS platform, or service that verifies domain ownership can now instantly verify domains registered at Porkbun and Atom.
Open protocol. No permission needed. No partnership with us required.
Standards begin with one implementation, then another. The industry doesn’t move forward all at once. It moves forward like this.
Credit to @Porkbun for going first.
Two weeks ago, we published DomainAttest.org, an open spec for domain ownership verification.
Today, @Porkbun became the first registrar after Atom to implement it.
Domains at Porkbun and Atom can now be verified in one click. No TXT records. No propagation delays. No nameserver changes.
Two registrars in two weeks. Every registrar that follows moves instant verification closer to becoming the norm, not the exception.

Today is Porkbun's 9th birthday! 🥳 We're celebrating some achievements we've had, including being named the #1 domain registrar by USA Today two years in a row!
We thank all of our fantastic customers, as we couldn't do it without you. Cheers to 9 years, and many more!

⚡️Zelensky: "What kind of country is Russia if it's afraid of hospitals and maternity houses, and destroys them?
Were there little nationalists there? Were pregnant women going to shoot missiles at Rostov? Did someone in that maternity hospital offend Russian-speaking people?"

Her resignation letter is incredibly damning. The circumstances sound awful and clearly the result of poor leadership from @DAMikeSchmidt. I won’t be voting for him again.
Amber Kinney, a longtime child abuse prosecutor in Multnomah County, quit this week but not before firing off a blistering critique of DA Mike Schmidt's leadership, especially when it comes to promoting women in the office.

cool to see .lgbt being used, including by the likes of Facebook.*
@DonutsInc It's a good reminder that awesome use cases can take time!
*would be nice if they cleaned up the hate and homophobia on their main platform tho including their policies, wouldnit?
While this jazzy hold music is truly swinging, @delta it's weird you'd choose to make the support experience worse by not offering a call back for phone support.

The same Motion Picture Association that wanted to stop you from sharing music and movies that you own wants to prolong the COVID-19 pandemic by opposing efforts to provide vaccines in developing countries: theintercept.com/2021/04/27/…
ALT white text on a black background that reads: you wouldn't download a vaccine. This is a riff on the "you wouldn't download a car" anti-piracy campaign used by the MPA in the past.
