Is this some sort of trick question. Seven obviously - the aisle seat with no one in the middle. Oc if it was a short flight I'd sit next to Messi. Tell him I play with a 55+ team and ask him if he still plays now that he's an old dude.
You’re on a 10-hour flight. Which seat are you choosing and why?

we just raised another $25M after 10x'ing our ARR in 5 months. the crazy part is this almost never happened. 17 years ago, I watched Iron Man as a 10-year-old kid in Delhi. that night, I pulled my first all-nighter teaching myself to code. not because I wanted to build apps or make money. because I wanted to build Jarvis. my parents gave me 1 hour of screen time per day. so I coded in secret, sleeping every alternate night through middle school and high school. built 50+ apps. got a cease and desist from Google at age 12. all for this one obsession: making computers understand us like humans do. fast forward to today: - we've raised $81M total to build the voice operating system - growing revenue 40% month-over-month this year - 70% user retention after one year (unheard of in consumer) - teams at 270 of the Fortune 500 use Wispr Flow daily our Series A2 was led by @hanstung at @notablecap (who was an early investor in five companies that made it to $100B valuation like Slack, Tiktok, and Airbnb). we also brought on @StevenBartlett as an investor and partner. but here's what matters more than the money: we cracked voice input. not transcription - actual understanding. our users hit "send" in under 0.5 seconds without checking. they trust it blindly. that's never existed before. in a recent benchmark, Wispr came out as 3-4x more accurate than OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Siri. and we're just getting started. voice input was step one. now we're building the assistant that actually does things for you. to my co-founder @SahajGarg6 - there's no one else I'd rather build Jarvis with than my college roommate and closest friend. to our team pulling all-nighters and shipping magic - you're the reason that 10-year-old kid's dream is becoming real. we're hiring cracked engineers and growth marketers who want to build the future of human-computer interaction. the keyboard had a good 150-year run. time to build what comes next. PS: like, retweet, and bookmark to get wispr flow for free for 3 months ❤️ — Written with @WisprFlow

The pipe v space inside question is now going to live rent free inside my head because we never covered this in torts.
Law school should be run like a trade school because law is a trade. Instead, in many places, it akin to having would-be plumbers sit in a classroom to debate whether it is the pipe or the empty space in the pipe that is of value.

What happened to the 72 hour deadline that he set on Monday? Classic Trump negotiation. You can have the stick or the bigger stick, except it doesn't work if the bigger stick only exists in your imagination.

See, I have to agree with this. And a corollary rule I've always followed. When someone is a crass blowhard in public don't do business with them. If they are like that in public they are worse in private.

Well said
President Trump : "My father always used to tell me...'Son, when you walk into a restaurant & you see a dirty front door, don’t go in. Because if the front door is dirty, the kitchen is dirty also.'...If our capital is dirty, our whole country is dirty."

You can if you annex Panama. Just saying (not saying we should do that)
DEAN: “What’s the tariff on bananas?” LUTNICK: “10%.” DEAN: “Walmart already raised banana prices by 8%.” LUTNICK: “Well, if you build in America, there’s no tariff.” DEAN: “You can’t build bananas in America.”

It's the only way to really learn criminal procedure.
One of my favorite Twitter memories was time I posted that we should read a contract as part of Contracts class and half the replies were, "Oh really, should we also do a crime in Criminal Law?"

This raises an interesting question. If LLMs can pass the law school courses do lawyers still need to take them?
In preparation for 1L final exams, I'm going to start tweeting out some AI-generated multiple choice questions, then follow up with answers later. I'm starting with Contracts because that's what I teach. #1LContractsMultipleChoice

What it takes to make progress modernizing US legal practice (seems like sometimes).

Will we throw @sama in jail when self-represented litigants use @ChatGPTapp to navigate the American judicial system? Generative #AI has great potential to help self-represented litigants trying to enforce their rights. But: when consumers use these tools for assistance, will the providers, such as @OpenAI, @Google, or @AnthropicAI be guilty of the unauthorized practice of law? Statutes in all 50 states make it illegal to provide legal services without a license, and the penalties can be severe, ranging from fines to criminal charges. In a few states, #UPL is a felony. In the most recent issue of the @GLTReview, I trace the history of UPL regulation in America and demonstrate why #GenerativeAI should not be considered the “practice of law.” In the face of a vast #A2J crisis, we should of course protect consumers and encourage software providers to offer competent, non-negligent advice. But UPL laws are vague and overbroad, and if they were extended to cover Generative AI, those statutes would penalize the very people they were created to protect. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…

This strikes me as basically in the same vein as using horoscopes to determine your compatibility.

I mean I'm pretty sure none of these well funded folks are wed to OpenAI, especially since it only takes about 15 or 20 minutes of coding time to flip over to another LLM API. Plus, let's be real, GPT-4 isn't going anywhere.
If you're Thomson Reuters & bought Casetext (built on OpenAI) for $650M Sequoia & you invested in Harvey (OpenAI's first investment) Allen & Overy/PWC and you made HUGE partnerships commitments to Harvey, you must be filling sick this morning. Or am I missing something?

Are they still called tweets? If not, then what?
as a trademark law professor i considered sharing an expert take on the twitter/X trademark debacle but everyone seems to have a great handle on it already: abandoning famous & extremely valuable marks while continuing to offer the services associated w/ them is quite unwise!
