Bohs vs Shels fast becoming my favourite fixture Praised both sides for change of shape and tactical tweaks but the chaos and needle of the tie adds more to the tie as a spectator Not a full breakdown but some key points to the game. ⬇️

Most impressed with Russell’s adjustment to the Shels Midfield & Width midfielder fills in FB, Norris to receive high & wide for a good cross of the ball. Kelly moves into middle as a goal threat Caffrey starts deeper on his side, combines well with Moore, uses his pace well

Nothing special by any means, but some quicker play from Shels under John Russell Expects quality from his #9’s in hold up & carrying. Off night from wingers was noticed in terms of early conversion but Moore v good 2nd half, combines great with Norris for Odubeko’s winner

Sheridan’s economical with the ball, skilled & brave in close control emphasis on outside of foot keeps his body neutral, open hips towards the box sells a shot on goal, sharp turn inside gains a setup touch & a yard of space Exciting would be putting it lightly 🌟

Shels break out from their box to halfway line in 1 pass, the kind of counter attack they’re usually victims of themselves Hoare & Turner cover wide areas, Hoare stuck between Kelly’s action or stay with the runner, makes Kelly’s mind up for him Finish, smash & grab.

Safe to say Pats will feel their fate in the title race mostly self inflicted, Shels be happy to go back up the road with 3 points and go again, they likely don’t set up in this way again until next year but if they do, it’d have to be the Bohs game
