OMG. You know how you can't trust online reviews anymore? Well, I was looking at fireproof bricks, and there was a single one star review. Interesting, how shit can a fireproof brick really be? The reason: The bricks were not as pictured, too smooth?? hornbach.se/p/eldfast-tegel-…

Big news, I blinked several LEDs! With AND gates (ok LUTs really) and buttons! It took all night... Half going into updating the Debian box that had been off for nearly a year, half to figure out the micro-usb cable was power only.

It seems there's a bug in Debian's 6.1.0-(23|25)-amd64 kernels. Got crackling weird sound, reverting to -22 fixed it. Took half a day of trying random things, tearing out pipewire, reinstalling a bunch of package default configs etc. to figure out. Probably alsa-related.

Just read a bit about Webassembly, and WAMR supports MIPS. So... I have an SGI O gathering dust... Can I, and should I? I would also like to build an FPGA Wasm CPU, just for kicks, and make it modify itself with some aid from an MCU + flash.

I have discovered the online spare parts section of my regular cheap gadget/tool store. It's glorious, and surprisingly cheap. Can't wait to design something cobbled together from parts that where never meant to cooperate. jula.se/catalog/reservdelar/

Divide the prices by 10, and it's roughly USD.

The one thing still good about twitter is you can still just block ad accounts. Not every single one, for sure, but man it's satisfying. Tap tap, gone.

Why on earth would you make a security camera that has an ethernet port but no PoE?

My biggest mental decline red flag is that I mix snake_case and camelCase. Sometimes I even do snek_Käse.

They should definitely make "Won't get fooled again" the Harris campaign song.

Working from home and bluescreen... Not only me either apparently (so not my hardware, as the pagefault error might hint at). How long is it appropriate to wait before calling it an early weekend?🤔 A bit early to fire up the grill before noon I guess... (Poor IT, long day...)

Is there any word in English more versatile than "right"? It's all right I'm going to make it right Right triangle Allrite' (greeting) You allrite' mate? (menacing) Right (direction, politics etc. I feel the Left got the shorter straw here) Right on! Nah, she'll be right etc...

Dagnnabbit again, misclick. That's not nesting, that's tag soup. (I can't even blame the beer, it's mid-strength. Fat fingers.)

Maybe it is the beer, it is nesting. Ok, time log off of here.

My work mostly sucks most of the time, but today was a good day in one aspect. I could save myself maybe an hour of manual drudgery by writing a small ~10 minute VBA script. And later I found another similar use case for basically the same thing stuck inside a loop.
